i think if we improve the offensive line, leon washington could bust out as the home run guy all you mcfadden lovers are looking for.i think if dmac's on the board when we pick, and we don't trade the pick to stockpile some more, we are making a big mistake. let's face it, we are more then a couple of players away.

I just don't see this FO drafting McFadden, whether he's there or not. Based on their previous drafting experience, they seem to go directly for "their guys" who they fell in love with or have experience with, much like Parcells would in FA and the draft. I think Nicks is a very, very real possibility because of this, but not so much for McFadden.

I truly think we nab Gholston or reach for someone like Merling if it pans out like that. Gholston seems like a smart, upstanding guy via his interview during the combine, and is never satisfied with himself. I think Mangini just covets guys like that. He also by all indications likes Merling as well. In my personal opinion, that could turn out like the Bills reaching for Whitner a few years back; viewed as a reach during the draft but afterwards working out just fine for the team.

The guys that are saying McFadden at #6 are right and the guys that are saying don't take him are right, too. The real question to ask is are we willing to roll the dice that NE doesn't select him at #7. If NE selected him, it would probably be more stupid than if we selected him simply because NE has an aging LB corps and replacement parts in the #7 slot are a pretty good bet.

I do agree that Leon will have some out of this world plays if we improve our offensive line; take to the house plays.

McFadden: If the legacy of his children is true, the man is very good at creating in space; somethng to ponder.

The difference is the Vikings were built on the running game and already had a great offensive line, we still need to build an oline

They are a passing team, I am not that worried about that, and I doubt that even they can duplicate that offensive performance, I dread Gholston being a monster that haunts the Jets QBs for years to come more.

If there was ever a season to have 4 1st round picks(like 2000) this would be it. There are so many guys that i wanna see in a jets uni it pissing me off.

This is what it comes down to for me...

If Gholston, the Longs, and Dorsey are taken before #6 we trade to Dallas for both their first rounders.

If Gholston and DMC fall to us we take Gholston, and if the pats take DMC then thats when our Pro Bowl ILB David Harris rip him to pieces.

Why Dorsey? He would fit nowhere in the 3-4.

Harris would rip his leg off and eat it like a fucking chicken wing. Then he'd return the fumble for a TD.

McFadden is the most dynamic player in the draft. If he's gone, I would go with Gholston if Jets' stay at #6 & if Gholston is still available. I go DT Pat Sims or Frank Okam DT with 2nd pick or DE, even if the Jets' sign Sean Rogers. I go OL with the 3rd pick.

Jets' need to sign WR Dante Stallworth also.
