Why would he want to come here into an open competition when he could be promised the job elsewhere.

I can already hear Chicago calling him.

Yea seriously, just another good reason to bring him in if he's available.

She is his beard. I think that is obvious just like Giselle with Tom.

Anyway if the Bucs somehow let him go and the Jets picked him up (no pun intended), he would automatically be the starter of this team.

yes, I am certain he wants his contract torn up where he is starting so he can take a pay cut and be a backup. he is just that hell bent on being a Jet.

Who said he would be a back up? If its open competition, he wins IMO.

in a competition, he risks not winning the starting job, so your position inherently infers the risk of being a backup when his current situation guarantees him the starting job. why would he go somewhere where he has to compete for the job when he can stay where he is and be the starter for certain?

If I were Garcia, the fcat that I'd be facing Chad and Kellen as competition wouldn't bother me too much.
He still hasn't got his contract, and at 38 years old, probably won't. Gruden has always had an eye for talent so it wouldn't surprise me if they drafted a QB and/or start McCown.
His current situation does not guarentee him a starting spot.

we would be lucky to get Garcia. He is exactly what would allow us to trade Penny on draft day.
