Got the latest issue and here's what they have Jets doing:

    Rd1. Darren McFadden RB Arkansas
    Rd2. Cliff Avril OLB Purdue
Rd4. John David Booty QB USC
    Rd4. Harry Douglas WR Louisville
Rd6. Rodrick Johnson ILB Oklahoma State
Rd7. Joe Jon Finley TE Oklahoma

This has us taking Avril over Lofton, which I would not do.

Yeah, they have this shit fucked up so I'll take it all with a grain of salt. Check out their top 10.

    Miami- Chris Long
    St Louis- Vernon Gholston
    Atlanta- Jake Long
    Oakland- Ryan Clady
    KC- Glenn Dorsey
    NYJ- Darren McFadden
    NE- Mike Jenkins
    Baltimore- Matt Ryan
    Cincinnati- Sedrick Ellis
    NO- Leodis McKelvin

St. Louis and Oakland make no sense at all.

I really like the Booty pick. If we wait that long to draft a QB he has tremendous upside. He sat forever at USC but has all the tools. Other than the fact that he's not a fag he reminds me alot of Brady.

A lot of mocks have Gholston going to the Rams...the only strange pick is Oakland's...all the others make perfect sense.

Edit: Don't forget...the Rams are rumored to be switching to a hybird 3-4, which he would be perfect for, as he projects at both OLB and DE.

Not one OL or DL pick? Even for depth purposes? Really? Are they looking at the same team as I am?

There's no way I would accept a Jet player with the name "Booty".

I think we def need a DE prospect to work on in this years draft otherwise it becomes more of a need next year

The Jets had a reserve DB named John Booty, I think in the late 80's......funky name.

John Fitzgerald Booty (born October 9, 1965 in Deberry, Texas) was an American football defensive back in the National Football League for the New York Jets, the Philadelphia Eagles, the Phoenix Cardinals, the New York Giants, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He played college football at Texas Christian University.

I like that pick too. 4th round is a good time to strike on a QB. This leaves Clemens one more year to show something. If not, open competition next year as well.

I would go Lofton over Avril in round 2, and grab DE from Hampton as my other 4th round pick.
McFadden, Lofton, Booty, DE from Hampton (forgot name) would be good 4 picks.

I think they have some hope for CJ Mosley as a DE for next year. he played pretty well at the end of last season. Great size, and is very quick for a big man.

Loved him coming out of college, he blew up to about 340, but is back down to about 315. Doesn't have classic height for a DE 6'2", but I think he can be a good DE.

Interested in watching him in camp.

Was not aware they were making that hybrid 3-4 switch. Bastards!! I would think Jake Long would make more sense here since their line was just atrocious last year and lines him up to replace aging Orlando Pace. They also need to protect their investment in Bulger whom I believe got a new contract in '07 for 6 years.

If somehow we can get Flacco in the 2nd round...i'd be happIER. But, with the Dolphins, Atlanta and Chiefs picking ahead of us and all them looking for a future QB, it's gonna be tough.
