My dream draft and two FA steals

    #6 Darren McFadden RB
    #36 Quentin Groves DE/OLB
    #102 Will Franklin WR
    #113 Kellen Davis TE/DE
    #171 Frank Okam DT
    #211 Zackary Bowman CB/S/KR
    FA#1 Mike Fladell OT/OG
    FA#2 Jason Shirley DT

1st round pick #6 – BPA - Can you say SPPEEEEDDDD!!
    Name: Darren McFadden
    College: Arkansas Number: 5
    Height: 6-1 Weight: 211
    Position: RB Pos2: KR
    Class/Draft Year: Jr/2008
    40 Time: 4.33 40 Low: 4.27 40 High: 4.42
    Projected Round: 1

2nd round pick #36 – DE/OLD (3-4 player) He will be a ton ten pick in the 2nd round, doubt any team will give a 1st round for him.
    Name: Quentin Groves
    College: Auburn Number: 54
    Height: 6-3 Weight: 259
    Position: OLB Pos2: DE
    Class/Draft Year: rSr/2008
    40 Time: 4.53 40 Low: 4.46 40 High: 4.62
    Projected Round: 1
*Note: Both Vernon Gholston and Quentin Groves are 3-4 players and both can play DE or OLD. Glolston is a little stronger but Groves is faster. For the money Groves is a steal.

4th round pick #102 – Nice Size and nicer speed. He has good hands and has been consistence over the last three years.
    Name: Will Franklin
    College: Missouri Number: 2
    Height: 6-1 Weight: 214
    Position: WR Pos2:
    Class/Draft Year: Sr/2008
    40 Time: 4.37 40 Low: 4.32 40 High: 4.48
    Projected Round: 3-4

4th round pick #113 – TE/DE (A BIG versatile player who can catch the ball and sack the QB.)
    Name: Kellen Davis
    College: Michigan State Number: 80
    Height: 6-7 Weight: 262
    Position: TE Pos2: DE
    Class/Draft Year: Sr/2008
    40 Time: 4.59 40 Low: 4.54 40 High: 4.70
    Projected Round: 3-4

6th round pick #171 (If Keith is gone this kid would be the next best pick. Should be rated higher on draft boards and led the 5th best run defense in the nation last year.)
    Name: Frank Okam
    College: Texas Number: 97
    Height: 6-5 Weight: 347
    Position: DT Pos2:
    Class/Draft Year: Sr/2008
    40 Time: 5.32 40 Low: 5.23 40 High: 5.43
    Projected Round: 5

7th round pick #211 (A high injury risk, but the size, speed, and raw talent are worth a 7th round pick.)
    Name: Zackary Bowman
    College: Nebraska Number: 1
    Height: 6-1 Weight: 197
    Position: CB Pos2: S/KR
    Class/Draft Year: rSr/2008
    40 Time: 4.39 40 Low: 4.34 40 High: 4.47
    Projected Round: 7-FA

FA pick (He isn’t fast but he is big and a great run blocking OG. He could be a nice backup and help us get the running game going.)
    Name: Mike Fladell
    College: Rutgers Number: 72
    Height: 6-7 Weight: 324
    Position: OG Pos2: OT
    Class/Draft Year: rSr/2008
    40 Time: 5.43 40 Low: 5.32 40 High: 5.54
    Projected Round: FA

FA pick (If he makes it to FA he is a steal for the team willing to take the change on him. He isn’t the brightest bulb but would work nice as a plug in the DL.)
    Name: Jason Shirley
    College: Fresno State Number: 97
    Height: 6-5 Weight: 329
    Position: DT Pos2:
    Class/Draft Year: rSr/2008
    40 Time: 5.05 40 Low: 4.94 40 High: 5.16
    Projected Round: 7-FA

*I really would like Flacco but don't think the Jets FO is looking to the future. Flacco is this year's Big Ben.

Why do people think Groves will make it to the second round?

He's not gonna come close I bet.

    My dream scenario:

Jets trade Dewayne Robertson, pick 36, and a 2009 3rd-rounder to the Eagles for Lito Sheppard and pick 59.

    Draft:

    1) Darren McFadden
    2) Malcolm Kelly
    4a) Jonathan Goff
    4b) Craig Steltz
    6) Dennis Dixon
    7) Random OG or DE

Without trade (but Jets get a 4th for D-Rob)

    1) McFadden
    2) Antoine Cason
    3) Beau Bell (Jets trade 2 4ths to move up into the mid-3rd)
    4) Lavelle Hawkins or Earl Bennett
    6) Dennis Dixon
    7) Jamie Silva

Same here. I don't know what it is, but I'm much more impressed with him now than I once was. I would really love for him to fall to No. 6, but like I said earlier I think if he got to #5 New England will jump up to get him.

Dennis Dixon is awfully similar to Brad Smith. Perhaps a bit more ability to play QB, but awfully similar.

Trade down with Bears/Devner for thier first and second
    1)J. Stewart
    2a)Groves
    2b)Hardy
    4a)Johnathan Goff
    4b)John David Booty
Would love to see Brohm as a second rounder in place of either Groves or Hardy
