Veteran cornerback Ty Law, one of the top free agents still on the market, is interested in playing for the Titans.

Law's price tag, however, might keep the Titans from getting in the mix for five-time Pro Bowl selection.

Law's agent, Carl Poston, said yesterday he's had recent conversations with Titans General Manager Floyd Reese about bringing Law to Nashville for a visit. Reese downplayed the seriousness of those talks and said nothing had been planned.

"We are talking about it,'' Poston said.

"At this point, they have interest and we'll see where it goes from there. Personally, I think it is a great fit because he could be a role model for Pacman (Jones), who has a lot of talent and ability. Ty has been there and he could show him the ropes.''

Law had a career-high 10 interceptions for the New York Jets last season — his 11th in the NFL — after playing for the New England Patriots from 1995-2004.

The Seattle Seahawks and Kansas City Chiefs are also among the teams interested in Law, who is believed to be seeking around $10 million in guaranteed money.

That's probably too steep for the Titans, who've already signed four free agents this offseason.

"If (Poston) comes and says, 'Hey, my guy is in love with your team and he wants to play for minimum,' then things might be different,'' Reese said. "But I am sure he would be very, very expensive. You never say never, but I am going to guess he is going to be out of our price range.''

HILARIOUS.. funny how the jets saw him as a cancer and moved him away from justin miller.. yet poston would still use that angle to entice the titans. Good stuff.. Ty Law and Pacman would be one hell of a duo. and im not talkin about football.

"He is too expensive" is the Titans way of saying F U Ty, stay away from Jones!

They would "maybe" change their minds if they came back and said Ty would play for the minimum? LMAO.

Ty Law gets paid what Ty Law wants. Ty Law don't accept less than what Ty Law is worth, and Ty Law is a badass corner. Ty Law will tell the Titans what to pay him, and Ty Law will get what Ty Law wants. And if Ty Law don't get what Ty Law wants, then Ty Law will call Herm Edwards and skip HIS Monday meetings! That's how Ty Law do!

He was NOT a cancer and was not "moved him away from justin miller"
Where do you get this from? This is exactly how BS Rumors start.

Law's agents overpriced him. Everyone knew he was a 1 yr deal.
Law has always been highly regarded and respected.

It was reported by more than one source that certain rules didn't apply to Ty Law, that he was overweight for the majority of the season but would not listen to the trainers, and that yes, he had to be moved away from Justin Miller. It was either Cannizzaro, Serby, Cimini, or two of the above.

Ty Law will try and teach PacMan how to smuggle ecstasy through customs, as well as advanced continued third person english.

Something tells me that Pacman Jones has had quite a bit of experience in at least one of those fields.

I heard that Tennesse is making Law get a "gangsta grizill" to match Pac Man's.

The Titans would bring in Law to tutor Jones on being a money hungry self centered jerk? Seems like Pac Man's already all set in those departments.

It's interesting that the three guys that are considered the best of the free agents remaining, Law, Arrington and Woodson, are all Poston clients. The Postons tell their clients just what they want to hear--"You're Canton bound and teams will be lining up to fill your pockets." Meanwhile the money is slowly drying up and all three may have to face the reality that they carry too much baggage for any team to put out serious up front money.

Incidentally--I can't believe that Arrington is so stupid that he still has the Postons as his agents considering that the NFL Players Association is going to decertify Carl Poston for a year for blowing a bonus for Arrington because he admitted that he didn't know that it had been taken out of the final version of Arrington's Redskins contract because he DIDN'T READ IT before telling Arrington to sign it. The Poston's are clowns and perfect agents for these three.
