    Well that sucked. I guess the Yankees really are his daddy.

    Seriously though, take advantage of some fucking momentum. This might be the most unlikable Met team this decade.

    GREAT day. Mets picked up ground on Philly (3 behind) and Yankees lost ground on both Boston and Tampa Bay (6 behind).

    That's probably the first and last we see of Pontoon. Cashman would rather use a Goose than somebody who is 5-1 or whatever he is now.

    Just goes to show how bad the talent level is this year. Last year at this time the Yankees were 10 1/2 out with Boston and Toronto in front of them. Oh..and they didn't have 3 of their 5 starters on the DL either. Shouldn't be any problem catching up this year.

    What a strange day but a split looks good. When you see Giese and Ponson going for you in a DH I think the most you can ask for is a split.
