Okay, well then, my best advise is to get seats in the lower rows. This gets you closer. The Section is not going to be quite as important as the Row. Even in the End Zone, if you're in the lower row numbers, you still have a great view of the whole stadium. I also take binoculars with me to every game. If the Jets are driving the ball on the opposite end, I can zero in on the line and see who gets the handoff, etc. Then I watch the replay on the screen and I've had a good, closeup look at the play.
Ok.. thanks.. I'm going to look around and see if I can find something in a lower row thats not much more money. Neither of us have a ton of money to spend on this game so hopefully I can find something good.
I have just one more section/row that I would like to get some opinions on if possible. For the same amount of money I can sit in Mezzanine 226 in row 3? Are these seats better? Do you get a better view from these? Thanks
Compared to Section 114, Row 29? This is a no-brainer for me. Take the Mezz seats. Both are under cover, both are somewhat in the corner, but the Section 226 seats are on Row 3. You'll have a great view of the game. BUY THEM NOW!
I got the mezzanine seats for 130 in row 3. Sounds like a good deal to me and you guys above really seemed to think it is too. Thanks for the advice on seats eveyrone
I've had tickets for 28 years and have been in the lower part of the upper deck at the Meadowlands since 84. In 2004 I bought two seats in section 112 row 20 something. I can tell you that I couldn't wait to get back upstairs. The upper deck is view is far better than the lower level for a number of reasons. The lower deck is too close to the field and when the ball is not directly in front of you, it is harder to see what is happening (how many yards gained on a play, etc.). In the upper deck, you see thw whole field better and can see the play develop. The lower level is more like TV, which is great for seeing around the ball, but not much else. The pitch is steeper in the upper deck, which makes it much easier to see over the people sitting in front of you. If some 6'4" guy plops in front of you in the lower level, you are screwed. And if you bring a child to the lower level they pretty much have to stand on their seat to see. Worst of all, the lower deck fans stand up for every third down and every big play. You spend half the game standing and again, if you bring a child under the age of 13, the child will not be able to see. Lastly, the upper deck is easier to get out of after a game.
I'm in Lower tier, 111, row mid 20's. Right on the 50 yd line. It's a great view to all the action and right behind the Jets bench. I used to split Giants seasons upper deck on the 50 and I agree that the view up there is great as well. The stadium really doesn't have a bad seat minus some end zone views I've watched from. And even then you get some great views when the LOS is down by your end zone. Case in point I was sitting in the end zone freezing my b*lls off at a Giants-Eagles game in late 80's/early 90's when Randall Cunningham was punting right in front of us in the end zone and booted it something like 90 yards with this crazy wind gust. Ball took an unreal bounce but it was a sick punt.
Oh.... sorry. I get it now. You got the seats for $130. Gotcha. You're going to like those seats. You're just about under the overhang too, depending upon which way the wind is blowing if it rains.
Yeah.. I'm looking forward to it since I haven't been to a regular season game since the Raiders-Jets to finish the 2006 season.
Congrats! As I posted, the mezz seats are my personal favorites due to their combination of some perspective plus you're relatively close to the action (so you can better appreciate subtle movements, jukes, swim moves, etc). I do think it's also worth it to sit *really* close at least once. If you can hear good grunts and pops and such, that's another nice experience. But all in all, just going to the games is a great time. I love my seats in the lower part of 314, right on the aisle. But I'd take the mezz if I had my choice of seats. Now with the new stadium and PSLs and such, I'll likely take whatever I can afford or just buy a kick arse TV and sit wherever the heck I want to in my living room
