Will he be there tonight? Will Chad be there tonight? Obviosly brett won't be taking snaps but, this just made tonight's game VERY interesting.

I thought Favre was flying to Cleveland tonight to meet the team.

Tanny was saying the Chad situation would be resolved by 4pm, so I'm not sure he will be.

Pennington will not be there tonight.

He will be on his way to Minnesota or Miami

I think Favre will be there, and Chad won't.

I have no ill-will towards CP, and am excited about Favre coming to the jets.

    It's gonna be fun!

The only impact to tonight is that Clemmens, Ratliff and Aigne will see more snaps that they would have. Favre (just getting there) and Pennington (won't be on the team) won't play, obviously.

the only impact is that chad will not play, and about 100x the normal number of fans will watch it, even though Farve won't play.

Clemens, Ange, and Ratliff are going to get the snaps.

According to a source, now that Clemens is definitely a backup with the Jets, he will play a lot tonight.

Favre is flying to Cleveland to meet his teammates and watch them play the Browns.

Pennington will leave Cleveland and fly back to New York...where he'll be released by 4PM.

With the extra cap space cleared in the Pennington release, the Jets will sign Favre -- and maybe some other smaller names?

This will be great for Kellen Clemens: some have compared him to Brett Favre -- now he actually gets to sit behind this guy and learn how to sling the rock, instead of sitting behind a guy that throws passes that most consider to be check downs on every play.

I was going to start a "We'll See More Of Eric Ainge Tonight" thread, but you beat me to it, MeanJoe!

I'm excited to see more of Ainge in an actual game. You guys who have never seen him play are going to like what you see, mark my words. Reminds you of a young Vinnie Testaverde.

I expect Mangini to play Clemens for at least the first half. Then we'll see Ainge for at least a quarter, maybe more. The rest of the garbage time will be Ratliff's.

The Favre signing also sets up an interesting battle next summer for the #2 spot, because I expect Ainge to challenge Clemens all the way for that #2 position. Clemens will either have to step it up by then or lose his backup spot to Ainge.

Favre should be flying to cleveland to be rockin the Jets uni on the side lines... Should be throwing a few snaps next week... Pennington i think will be with the Vikes or Chiefs by tommorow but his ass def wont be at the game. He will be released shortly.
