No, please read it. You get your home TV on your laptop. So whatever your TV gets its only being streamed to your laptop via wireless connection.
or sony has a location free product the allows you to stream your home tv and even access your dvr and dvd remotely, you can even stream to a psp.
I live in Texas. I have no connection in NY with anyone. How can I watch the games without having to pay $500/season to directv (250+5months programming)? Any options out there for me to watch the game in Dallas via a stream? Any help is appreciated...
find a friend in NY or NJ or anywhere that will get the game in the area-- then buy a Slingbox- ask them to set it up or have it set up by a company.... then when the game is on, go to your laptop and watch what their TV has on... thats the only way it works.
I was just in China using the slingbox on my laptop to watch the NCAA Tourney from my living room tv back in NYC. Slingbox is awesome.
Weeeeell, in his defense, the initial part of the post states "I know alot of Jet fan use to pick up the game if they dont live in the area."
The slingbox has to be in the area, but the person doesn't have to be. You can't get the games if the Slingbox is in Idaho, it has to be in the area where they will televise Jet games every week. But the person can be in Idaho, the box and TV has to be around here.
I can stream my tv with my tv tuner using windows media encoder and I get to watch watever I want from wherever I want, but only whats on my tv. Same thing. Can anyone here hook me up on Jet games?...
Every Sunday during the season someone posts a good stream link to watch the games over the internet. Usually its GJF or another international poster. And usually its on sopcast or the like. Don't sweat it...I didn't miss a game last year and I live in FL.
That's right. I use Slingbox to watch cable on my laptop or on my office computer during the day. Great invention, but it has limitations. What it does, though, it does pretty damn well. Essentially, if I give someone my connection code (called a "Finder ID") and password, they get to log in to my television.
Does the person in NY, whose TV is hooked up to the Slingbox, need to be watching the Jets game too or can I just tap into her television signal? Grandma doesn't watch football.
If Grandma is watching Jets football, then YOU'RE watching Jets football. But here's the real kicker - the person who is watching from a computer terminal has as much control over the cable/satellite box as the person sitting on the sofa at home. This is what slingbox looks like on your computer screen (except that you can double click and expand to a full screen).
