Vicks star power could really help the league get their feet on the ground. Do you think the NFL would allow Vick to return without suspension to avoid helping the competition?

This looks like the sequel to the XFL that came out a few years ago...only this one is going to be more EPIC...failure.

Im really pulling for this league. Scheduled start up of the Orlando team coincides perfectly with my career start up.

Edit: Mike Tice would easily win the HC job for the Orlando team, and his son is a QB.

It's basically going to be a minor league NFL...and I'm all for it.

Some guys never get a chance to show what they can do and this league will give them an opportunity.

Agreed, this is nothing like the WWE's XFL, of AF2. This league has real potential to be a success, as long as it isn't made to be NFL competition.

Is Chris Leak going to play? I remember reading an article about an upstart new league that will field a few good college players, and former pros.

Vick's a freak, and has shown he has no sense of sportsmanship. I wouldn't want my kids in the same stadium if he were playing.

This will be interesting. I hope this league is successful. It can be like Tripe AAA for coaches to hone their skills, and for players who can' cut it in the NFL to go and develop their skills and then decide if they want to try out for the NFL, or go to the Canadian league.

Well any team that Michael Vick goes to. Will have a large ticket buying base in PETA members, telling him what a scumbag he is.

Good idea, if that was the case, and they played in the offseason, I would watch.

The NFL really does not need a AAA system or what have you, college football is the best indicator we have for the NFL, if we open up a league imagine kids coming right out of highschool playing for a check. and GROWN MEN seriously hurting thier future careers.

Alot of college systems are based on what that coach wants to run. So in essence the issue is which is better college football or Pro football. As a college coach, who grew up watching Pro football, I love pro football more. But alot of the coaches on my staff hate PRO football, calling it boring that most teams run the same concepts, but the emphasis is on exploiting matchups. But in college you have that AND you can design any kind of system you want.

I think a "triple AAA" type league would be good for the "college system product" players, who flourished in a given system, but may not translate well in the NFL. Someone like a Eric Couch from Nebraska, or who knows Tim Tebow. But these are a few examples, and then these players go into the AAA league, where pro coaches can mold them and let them be in a "pro" style league, and if they flourish can make the jump to the NFL.

It allows them to get a paycheck, and not quit the sport because they can't cut it in the NFL. They may not be as rich, but they can make a living playing, and learning, and if they happen to do well, they can jump to the NFL. I would think of this league as JR. Pro, or a training league. If you can't cut it there then try Canada, if you cut it here, there may be a shot at a NFL team bringing you in.
