    Favre, Clemens, Ratliff.

All looked good against the Super Bowl Champions impressive defense.

A gritty win done with the passing game, not the running game or special teams.

This is what this team needs to do to succeed.

With the win today, I have confidence in my Jet team.

That's great! The game wasn't on here, and I can't watch it on the NFL Channel till tomorrow. How long were Favre and the starters on the field? Ratliff, from what little I've seen, looks like a pretty solid QB.

Shoot! I wish I'd seen the game. Did the D look good? Did they pressure Eli?

saying they "pressured eli" would be an understatement

The starters were on the field for the first half. Favre looked solid. He had a couple big pass plays including a TD called back by penalties. The penalties and lack of a run game are a bit concerning, but the passing game and the defense looked good.

I just saw like a 30 second game summary on ESPN News. Favre only got 96 yards? Huh? But 9 of 12 for Favre. That's good. Why so few yards though?

Oh, wait, now their saying he got 144 passing yards. That's pretty good . . . nevermind.

The starters were on the field for the full half.

Favre looked great, threading the ball and throwing a TD I haven't seen a Jet QB throw in forever that was taken back by a penalty. A 49 yard shot to Cotchery, taken back by a Bubba Franks illegal motion.

The D needs to shore up the run defense yet again. Its just as frustrating as last year.

Eli got sacked for -16 yards on one play. The pressure looks a lot better in Mangini's 3rd year. Bob Sutton still needs to be fired.

A lot of short checkdowns. He could have been 10/13 for 145 yards if Franks didn't fuck up.

GOOD! Now that Eli beat the Cheaters out of the Superbowl, I can go back to disliking him, lol.

OH NO! Really? I love Franks, Jeez. As a displaced former Packer fan, Franks has always had a place in my heart. Darn it. I really hate to hear that. :( He messed up last week too. It's not looking good for him is it?

There were a lot of penalties today. Mostly by the new FAs. It'll take more time for them to have the Jet language down 100%. This team will be the scariest thing after their week 5 bye.

Yeah, that sack was huge too because it led to the Giants rookie kicker missing the field goal.

Clemmens still looks like a deer in headlights. Ratliff is the #2. He reminds me of Ken O'brien but with a little more zip.

I didn't see the game tonight obviously, but from what little I've seen Ratliff looks way more poised than Clemmens. Every time I've seen Clemmens so far, he does look like he might pee his pants out there.

The zip Ratliff displayed today was an extra wow.

His resiliency is impressive. Throw a very rookie INT, just didn't see the DE fall back into coverage and threw based on the timing of the route. I actually laughed when it happened, I wasn't pissed.

Then, the next series he leads - two beautiful passes for the winning TD. Gotta love what this kid is showing.

Yup! And I'm a 2nd generation Pack fan too, BUT I won't root for a team who treated Favre so horribly, not till the 3 stooges are gone at least. I still love the Packers players though. So long as the Jets do better than the Packers, I'll be satisfied. It is tough. Last week, the entire time I was watching the game, the words "GO Packers" kept spontaneously trying to escape my lips. It's a little disorienting rooting for Favre in that uniform, but I'm adjusting. It was so touching to see NY welcome Brett with so much heart and respect. That sold me on the Jets right there. That guy's been my hero for a long, long time. He deserved a lot better than he got from Packers, and the Jets clearly realized that.

The main problem with Ratliff is that he still locks on to his receivers. Once he learns to look off the defender, with his pocket presence, I believe we have our QB for the next 10 years.

Who was covering Cotchery on that beautiful touchdown throw Favre delivered.

That was taken back thanks to one of the many illegal shifts.
