Here is what can come out of this game: If Brady had played, the game would have been about 50-10. Jets pass rush has improved. Offense is too predictable Buffalo is New York's greatest hope. Who will improve more on offense, Jets or Pats. The answer is obvious.
Wow someone a little testy this afternoon. Your fans are gtoing to trash talk any oreganization. Win something first (Forty freaking years) Im sorry but going to post a response to those idotic statements. Tell your fans don't put any derogative remarks about Raiders in the jets section and I won't respond to them. Here is what opened up this thread for me to respond. What does that mean? Draft order isn't really an issue until you get down to the last 2 or 3 games and it's easy to predict. I mean, for Oakland/St. Louis/KC you could talk about draft order now, but for the rest of the league it is pretty much up in the air.
This forum is for Jets talk, Jeaux. Keep it to that or you WILL have some time off. I'm also going to say something that you might not think is fair - Jets fans and other teams' fans aren't the same on this board. If a Jets fan says the "Jets Suck" in the Jets Forum, that's fair. If you do, you'll be sent away for a while. See how that works? But here's the REAL kicker - I can't speak for other mods, but I don't see anything wrong with stray negative comments about the Raiders in this forum. As long as they don't detract from the Jets-centric discussion. I'll keep my own Raiders teasing to the NFL Forum. You can lose your arguments with me there. This part of the thread ends here. Don't extend it, please.
Dude their is no way around it...You're simply PATHETIC. Your team got embarrassed 41-14 and you disappeared...Their was a thread calling you out and you didn't show yourself! Oakland wins and Jets lose...Guess who shows up. You're awful man...
Wow... I guess I'd pretty antagonistic if I walked in on my mom wearing an oakland Raiders pearl necklace too.
I'll say this though, so much for the idea that L. Coles isn't putting out effort. I was watching him with particularity and he looked to me like his heart was really in it. Even if we score the FG and a TD instead of a FG we still come up a little short. I think this team has a lot of capacity to improve. Play calling sucked.
thats my biggest problem why didn't we send the freakin house young qb +heavy blitz=turnpvers.1 or 2 of them and different ball game.
What can we take out of this game? The usual suspects on defense showed up. Revis, Rhodes, Pace, Thomas, Jenkins, Ellis, Harris... These guys consistently played well and our defense is looking great. Because of the ineptitude of our offense, our defense stayed on the field too long; thus the 19 points. On the Offense, we had way too many drive disrupting mistakes. A dropped pass changes a 2nd-and-4 to a 2nd-and-10. A holding penalty changes a 1st-and-10 to a 1st-and-20. Farve's interception wasn't all his fault. Normally, Meriweather would have to cover the receiver coming underneath and into the flat to prevent a 5-to-10 yard gain. Because it was 3rd and 20, Meriweather didn't cover the flat because of the 20 yard cushion, and thus was able to play deep. We had too many instances where a mistake would come at the worst time. Cotchery's 41 yard catch was called back because the ref's made a mistake, etc. We had absolutely no consistency on offense. There were flashes such as the first drive (missed field goal) and the touchdown drive. I'm not ready to say that we were outcoached, although there were many conservative calls on offense. Our special teams is horrible and might have given away the game today. The Patriots started on their 40 every single drive, while we started on our 20 every single drive. Feely missed an easy 30 yarder. Graham just stunk. We need to do something. Bottom line: If we played mistake free and capitalized on all of our opportunities, we would have barely won today's game. However, if the Patriots play relatively mistake free at home, we will get blown out almost every time. The only way we can ever beat the Patriots is if we bring our A-game and the Pats bring their B-game. Unfortunately, we brought our C-game today.
That's right, baby...and we ended it winning the SUPER BOWL!!!!!!!!!! Oh....sorry...that was Denver...
