I totally agree with this statement. Bottom line....Jets' OL is much better this year, than last year. Its not even close. It can only get better as the season progresses. The elusivenes of the current QB {Favre} also helps the OL play. Passing blocking is very solid, its the run blocking that is still eluding the Jets' OL. D'Brick really needs to improve his run blocking technique. Jets' still only have 3/5ths to 4/5ths of a very good OL. Woody should be playing RG or 1st sub off the bench. Brandon Moore should be a sub, but his contract dictates starter money. Cut him after Jet have successfully upgraded. Jets' need a real RT & RG......IMO. These improvents are still needed & probally won't be addressed until next season. Jets need to draft a RT & RG next year...so they can then have consecutive years of offensive success. P.S.: Maybe, just maybe...My least favorite Jets' OL Brandon Moore should get a try at RT & Jets' bring in a bigger RG....??? Like I said....Just maybe ??? NY Giants LT David Diehl was a Guard before Giants moved him over to LT. Faneca...No matter how his play may decline...has invaluable experience that can only help Jets' OL for at least the next 2 -3 years.
Of course you stopped reading it because it deals with "reality", and goes against everything you want to belive about D Brick. How long did try and convince yourself Dwayne Robertson wasn't a bust? I don't get it, because happens to all teams, Patriots included, yet you didn't see Patriots fans trying convince themselves Chad Jackson wasn't a major disapointment.
Because I watched the game, then re-watched it twice focusing on d'brick. Unlike you and this reporter who watched one highlight on ESPN and projected from there.:rofl: When I see completely inaccurate statements in an article, why should I continue to read it knowing that there is nothing I can believe in it?:rofl: I'm still waiting to see all your examples of seymour beating brick 80% of the time.
The running game looks very good this season, it's not the player's fault they decided to stop using it halfway through the last game. The pass protection is also massively improved. The only problems I see is Mangold and Farve getting used to each other, Faneca is not quite the Pro-Bowl player he used to be and also the line needs time to gell. If you're going to complain about this part of the the team then you can complain about everything. What an idiotic article.
Just FYI: the left side of the line has looked really rocky at times this year. A lot like the left side of the Steelers line went through rocky patches last year. That doesn't mean they're not performing but there have been plays where they were totally out to lunch at the snap.
