He pounded Broncos 41-7 with Matt Cassel - MATT FUCKING CASSEL!! Now, that's a real Headcoach. When will Jets get one? Ask Woody.
A week after losing to the Chargers 30-10. It's the way the NFL is this year. Teams are having crazy up and down weeks and no team has established dominance outside of the Titans.
You know what the difference is, though? Broncos don't have the interior presence that Chargers have. And it showed. Sammy Morris, of all RBs out there, had his career day. Hell, the whole RB crew amassed 200+ yards on the ground.
In all my years of watching the NFL, I totally agree with this statement. This is without a doubt, the craziest season I have ever followed. Just when you think a team is out...they are in...and visa versa. Except 2 or 3 teams on top..or 2 or 3 on the bottom. When I saw the spread of 3 points the Jets were getting...I mean..that had trap written all over it. So yes...BB and the Pats had a great game tonite...and they will probably go belly up next week.
Yes, don't forget the Chargers game, but more importantly, let us not forget he was demolished by the Dolphins as well. This is one mixed up turned upside down season. Like Bizzaro NFL or something.
The Denver defense is easy to figure out.... power over them with the run, and then they won't know what to do. They stopped pittman and Cutler pretty well. Penalties didn't help either.
And freak injuries. Who would have thought Cutler might be out? Is he still out? Who knows... That Denver O can score points, their D is lacking though... I agree, this season is topsy turvy. Tenessee on top? They might be hard to beat at home later on...
I still can't believe the Patriots are 4-2 with Matt fucking Cassel. And they have the Rams at home next week, who are due to come down to earth. I hope I'm wrong but fuck they look like they'll be at 5-2
Everyone knew before the game DEN was gonna give up a ton of pts. Their defense is just awful. They just didn't put up any pts themselves. I guess you can put that on Cutler's injury. But if you're asking me to give Belicheck some credit, im sorry i just cant do that.
What makes it worse is that the idiot announcing crew was all over Belichick's dikk all night long. He's a genius! He's Jesus, Mary AND Joseph! He perseveres! He invented the wheel! Why do they ALWAYS leave out that he got busted and sanctioned for being a cheating dirtbag? Curious, is it not? And, the way they were talking about Randy Moss, they may as well have nominated him for citizen of the year. He's a lazy turd, and when he does what he gets paid to do, well, now, isn't he Mr. Work Ethic himself. Made me fit to puke.
Pats will finish ahead of the Jets for the last playoff spot. They are still the better team Favre or no Favre. It's depressing really.
5 turnovers on the road in the NFL will usually result in a game like that. The fact that the Broncos had no ability to stop the run didn't help either.
Yeah, doesn't help that he still has a ll pro recieving core. I am telling you, Brady last year did not impress me in the slightest... and the better Matt Cassel gets the more it's going to show that team assembled in NE is pretty darn good no matter who is at QB.
5 turnovers, let me repeat that 5 turnovers. and just like the jets arent as many points better than arizona than we beat them by the patsies arent that many points better than the broncos. 5 turnovers... one more time 5 turnovers. and they very well may be 5-2 this time next week. but hey the jets should have been looking at 5-2 after next week against the chefs but hey thats how it goes these days. this topsy turvy never know who is going to be decent from one week to the next has been going on for some time now. its what the nfl wants, personally i think its crap but hey who am i. bunch of mediocre teams if you ask me. i would rather have teams that were great every week. i would probably still bet football if it were that way, but this is what they want and its nothing more than another reason to add to my list of reasons to stop caring about the nfl. one of these days the list will get long enough.
Say what you will. Belicheck finds ways to win. Even in adverse situations. Hate to say it, but Cassel is getting comfortable, and they will be much harder to beat the second time around.
Yeah but also those early turnovers killed the Broncos. Took them out of their game and gave the Pats a big early lead. Cutler hurting his throwing hand on the first play hurt also. But the biggest factor was how light Denver's D is up the middle. What woeful tackling. That all being said, hate to say it but Pats are not done yet.
And the Pats had nothing to do with those I guess. Jet fans are so predictable, Pats get spanked by the Chargers, "the PAts suck", Pats spank the Broncos "The Broncos gave the game away" Spin Spin Jet fans, It's not over yet.
The Pats aren't done but if they actually get behind in a game then they will probably lose. No way they can win a game with Cassel having to bring them back. Now if they play another team that can't stop the run and turns it over 5 times then they will probably win every time.
Here's how you win 41-7... Let the other team turn the ball over 5 times early. Partly the Pats did stuff, most of it was the Broncos just playing sloppily. Hurt Jay Cutler. Just keep running the ball until they stop it (they didn't).
