i cant believe hines ward made the list, he hits hard not dirty from what i have seen. i have never thought of him as a dirty player. also one fluke hit by smith cant move him onto this list.
Is this list just about the players who most recently got called for a "dirty" play? Shouldn't Haynesworth be considered? I thought he was the guy who stomped a player while he was down.
I just sent him a very sweet message that im sure the will enjoy. I echoed some of the thoughts that are presented in this thread, in addition to my own. I wouldnt be surprised if he responded....
just thought of something, how did pollard not make the list? i would figure espn would be all over the guy who put brady out for the year.
Took the words right out of my keyboard. wilfork is a dirty bastard and deserves to be #1 on the list.
no wilfork or vrabel. This guy's a moron who is just looking at bad hits that recently happened. Eric Smith is on it because it was an unfortunate situation and a serious injury. Dirtiest player should be based on intent, such as when wilfork elbows u or when vrabel headbutts or goes at a qb's knees after a play is over.
wilfork #1 on the list, definitely. hines ward?? plays hard hits hard and blocks his ass off. dirty? i dont think so.
Hell smith isn't even the dirtiest player on our team.... that would go to boneheaded eric barton... and really that's more based on stupidity than anything else. This list is totally dumb... oh and yeah Hines Ward? I guess every hard hit in the nfl these days is dirty huh? Thanks for the post anyways.
actually surprised Bernard Pollard doesnt top this list. I mean after all he did hit Brady low, I mean you can clearly see the intent in pollards eyes, he wanted to remove bradys knee from the rest of his body! jesus. this is retarded, but without Wilfork on the "a dirtiest players in the league" list i dont deem it credible. also without even touching Smith, I have an issue with Ward on the list. Simply because a reciever goes out of his way to block better than some tight ends, and he hits safeties and CB's hard, doesnt make him dirty. Personally I would love Ward on my team. Smith shouldnt be on the list because he only has ONE CAREER FINE, clearly there are guys with many many more who much deserve to be on the list over Smith. End rant.
Eric Smith rings one dudes bell and he is in a tie for 4th BULLSHIT! I was so pissed that wilfork wasn't on the list I totally spaced that smith made the list! WTF
Total joke. This guy wrote and researched this article in less time than it took me to write this post.
This list got me thinking and I pulled up some quotes on Smiths suspension and Wilforks fine. ?Wilford was not suspended because video of the incident did not show intent, a league source told ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen.? "I tried to tell them that my intention wasn't to hit him like that, but they told me intent wasn't looked at," said Smith, whose salary is $445,000. "But if intent isn't involved, then why isn't every fine the same?" I guess once again it is shown that some teams and players have different rules than the rest.
What's wrong? That's the only list Eric will ever make in his career. The guy can't cover to save his life.
Seems like just everyone else here, I was wondering where Wilfork was going to fall on the list... That he's not on the list instantly invalidates the whole thing.
