I was wondering if any of you bought one of these 1969 team hand signed helmets?...I see some selling and they have dropped in price a bit.

Also wondering if you Jets experts new what would be a good price for one of these hand signed?

Lastly, which is the better buy? The helmet above or the 1969 Jets Signature Super Bowl III Commemorative Football hand signed

Both have a steiner authenticity to them

Which is a better buy? I think the football might be harder to locate

Both have same amount of signatures by same people

Well the football is out of stock so that should narrow your choice. The helmet is a replica so that's probably the reason for the lower price.

Still a good deal I think. I bought a Namath, Snell, Maynard, and Sauer autographed helmet for around that. So 20 more players is good.

If the football was available for the $599 and if I got the Helmet for around the same price...Which should I go for?

The football for sure. The logo looks great, I have a few random prints of that and it's nice to look at as a Jet fan. Lol

If you know a place where they're available at that price let me know.

As a big collector, helmet all the way. The balls deflate and get crappy after a while.

Helmet definitely. Looks much better, and is usually worth more money.

I hate that it is called the "'69 Jets", it was the '68 Jets! The '85 bears aren't called the '86 bears b/c the SB was played in Jan of '86.

I'm a bigger fan of helmets than footballs so I'd always choose the helmet.

I've got a Martin autographed helmet (which I'm thinking might be a fake) but I know it's an authentic helmet. So even if it's fake it looks nice and I got it for much less then what the actual cost of a real helmet costs plus most people would never know.

BTW why I think it's fake, I've seen his signature and the sig looks legit but the helmet has # 28 on it and I've never seen a sig of his that listed his #. There is a sticker of authenticity but the website either is no longer in business of fake altogether.

I don't know which one would appreciate in value the most, but if I was buying it for myself, I'd go helmet for sure.

'Met all the way. I have some game balls and they are a pain to keep. Plus when I get drunk, they get 'used'.

I bought the 1969 Jets team signed steiner helmet back in 01 0r 02. It was listing for around $999 then. That was at the end of the memorabilia craze that started up again with the Mcgwire/Sosa hr race in 98. I got mine for $399 from a store on LI that was closing it's doors.

The guy im trying to buy it from is selling the RK throwback for $500 with shipping included (its the lowest he can go). Worth it?

The Joe Namath signature on it is clear and big compared to the rest

Btw on a related note, is buying the SB ring like the one in my avatar cheesy?
