I'm really looking forward to watching and reading about the #2 WR battle. Will it be Hill? Will it be Nelson? Will one of the rookies step up and take the job? I can't wait for this training camp!!

As much as I've ragged on Hill I really hope he steps up and proves me and many others wrong. Our offense could be dangerous if he stepped up.

Don't be surprised if Shaq takes it over sooner than later.. He is the guy I want there.

I don't think there's an outstanding candidate - unless Hill takes that unlikely, massive leap. Amaro, Kerley, Nelson and Hill may all see a fair amount of time out opposite Decker depending on situation and opposition.

It is not a done deal that Amaro will contribute significantly, at least early on. But if he is ready, I would not be surprised to see two tight end sets with Amaro split, and with Kerley still on the play.

Having said that, while we all would love to see Hill succeed, if I had to bet today I would predict either Nelson gets the nod or the winner is not presently on the roster. Not that I am predicting such a move, and so I guess my vote is on Nelson.

I think it will be Hill bit it's great to have depth. we have the best WR we have had since 2010 in decker and a ton of depth. we finally have weapons again, not top 10mweapons but at least mid of the pack which is much better than the bottom which we have had the last few years.

the numbers are irrelevant misnomers, but my bets on JK and Nelson getting the most field time with Saunders and Hill getting used situationally.

I just don't trust that Hill will be reliable enough to be a go to threat of any kind, he may have value in a deep ball scenario, maybe, I'm just not impressed.

It really would help the Jets a lot for Hill to step up and be that #2 WR. Decker is a decent 1, Kerley a great 3, Nelson a great 4, and all those rookies round out a decent WR Corps. No solid #2 but Hill can make it happen.

Let's all think about how it would look if Alshon Jeffery was picked instead of Stephen Hill

All I'm saying is man that would be an impressive WR corp..... Now back to our reality, I'd love for Hill to finally get it but I'm not holding my breath..... I think it's more likely Shaq Evans impresses and becomes the 2nd WR than it is counting on Hill for much of anything...

With the scrubs we have at QB he wouldnt look as good it wont matter who is the number 2 unless geno steps it up or vick can stay healthy. The whole reason the jets have been medicore for some many years is the lack of a franchise qb since namth

As someone already pointed out - I would love for Stephen Hill to prove me wrong. I am going with Nelson as the week 1 starter. Depending on Hill, Shaq Evans will get some reps as well.

Hill is the fastest/tallest WR on the team so ideally he'd stretch the field opposite Decker. But if MM needs someone to actually catch a pass he'll have to go with:

Nelson who's tall, good hands, but slow.
Evans who's tall, good hands, but slow and raw.
Kerley who's short and slow but great instincts and good hands.
Saunders who's short and raw fast and tough.
    Ford who's short and fast.

    So here's my guess:

If it's a running play with CJ, then Hill stays in for his blocking ability along the sidelines.

If it's a 7 step drop 'big chunk play' then you'll have Kerley at 10yds, Amara at 20 yds, Decker at 30 yds, and Saunders/Ford at 40 yds and Hill on the bench.

Nelson/ Evans will be our red zone thread opposite Decker

This is my ranking for who I think will play across from Decker
Nelson - reliable, has had more time to pick up offense and he's tall
Jacoby Ford has blazing speed and will open up field
Saunders is tough and fast so I have him as a dark horse and he's having a great camp
Hill - hope he does well but I'm cautious
Finally, think Salas is going to open eyes this camp. He's got good hands, can take a bubble screen for 40 yards and he's got decent speed and size

I actually think if Evans doesn't pick things up quickly he could join Enunwa on practice squad.

Pass to Stephen Hill sails through his hands. Hill needs a strong camp. Scholarship has expired. #nyj

Thought it would be appropriate to leave this here.

I have a strong feeling the odds of Hill making the team is a long shot. I think everyone including himself wishes he had the ability to be a legit threat in the NFL.

I just don't think he has the ability to hang in this league.
