No, that's Mets fans. Meanwhile... http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/news...t_id=7479982&vkey=news_nyy&fext=.jsp&c_id=nyy 10/18/09 10:37 AM ET Stadium open to fans for Game 3 Public invited into Great Hall with Yankees in Anaheim By Alden Gonzalez / MLB.com Yankee Stadium won't be the site of Game 3 of the American League Championship Series on Monday. But that doesn't mean it will be empty. The Yankees announced on Sunday that they will open the Stadium Field Level and Great Hall to the public to watch the Yankees face the Angels in Anaheim as New York tries to take a commanding 3-0 lead in the ALCS. "We wanted to provide a place for our fans to come together to cheer for our team, even if the game itself is taking place across the country," Yankees managing general partner Hal Steinbrenner said in a news release. "This is a way of saying 'Thank you' for their continued support." Turnstiles between Gates 4 and 6 will open at 3:30 p.m. ET for the 4:13 p.m. game -- broadcast on FOX -- and fans can watch it in the Great Hall or in the open sections of the Field Level. Food and concession stands, as well as NYY Steak and Hard Rock Caf?, will be open and available to fans. The decision to open the stadium was made after consultation with Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. "I thank the New York Yankees for opening their amazing new stadium to the community, and I hope that people from all over the city will come out to cheer for the Yankees and share in what's sure to be a great night right here in the Bronx," Diaz Jr. said in the release. That is pretty awesome. Unfortunately NY State wants me to fulfill my civic duty and serve jury duty tomorrow. Scumbags. ------------------ Great game last night. My heart can't take much more of this shit though. Just incredible. ------------------ Now on to the Mutts fans. Get a fucking life already. Rich, STFU. You know damn well I've had conversations with you about teams of the 80s I grew up watching. I was a huge Pagliarulo fan, even more than Mattingly while he was with the Yankees. Winfield and Righetti were ahead of Donnie in my heart as kid too. So piss off with your "bandwagon" bullshit. You Mess fans act like complete assholes. I've been nice about this shit for years now. I've gone out of my way to not be a dick to you people, but fuck that. You're a bunch of pissypants assholes. Jealous of a real team in your state. Poor you, boo hoo. Your organization is garbage. It hires and retains garbage. It will always be garbage. Your pretty stadium is nice dressing on your shit salad. Enjoy your suckdom next year again! Oh, and JoeJet. What if all stadiums were built to Yankee Stadium's dimensions, rather than that assbox in the junkyards built to hold down Santana's ERA? Yeah, betcha didn't consider that one. Maybe not every team in MLB wants a pussy fence, built to artificially deflate it's team's pitching stats. Not that it would matter, since the Yankees would just purchase different talent to play to the dimensions of a bigger field anyway. It amazes me that even after a decade and half you still haven't cleaned the sand out of your vagina from being rejected by the Yankees. Ever think it might just be because you sucked as a baseball player? Or did your precious Mets pick you up?
you dont understand baseballl very well if you dont think there are people who actually like the yankees when they lose or win as aposed to those who only like the yankees when they win, so therefore any argument you make is made out of either ignorance or jealousy, ill give you the respect and say that its jealousy
should I go to Yankee Stadium tomorrow? If the game were on TBS, I definitely would. Since it's on FOX, I think I'll stay home. Better food.
That was around the time that Andy had practically shelved his cutter because it wasn't working, wasn't it? I'm pretty sure it was shortly after that Angels game that he got his feel for it back and started a sick run. ETA: Yup. His ERA after that Angels game was 4.82. For the rest of the year, it was 3.32.
Well, no... but that was worded awkwardly on my part. After pitching horribly in that Angels game in July, Pettitte's ERA sat at 4.82 for the season. He pitched to a 3.32 ERA from then on.
Do Angels fans actually like the thundersticks? When fans start abusing them at basketball games I get annoyed...having to sit through a 4 hour baseball game with them would make me wanna blow my brains out. Also, out of curiosities sake, what happened to Kevin Kennedy? Didn't he used to be the lead analyst for FOX's pregame show? And why does FOX always do that thing where Joe Buck starts on camera then Tim McCarver absentmindedly wanders into the shot?
