NFL.com's Power Rankings had us go from #5 to #8 http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000...eek-of-play-has-bears-rising-steelers-falling
Brian Billick's power rankings apparently involve several pre-ranking bong hits. He bumped the Dolphins up two spots for that beating? At home? Wha?
well as one who is a major proponent of pre-ranking bong hits, i can only assume his thought process was this; it was a home game, and they actually got a touchdown once... so that is a HUGE improvement for the fish.
Sports Illustrated has us 3 up from 5 last week. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/20.../14/week.1/index.html?eref=sihp&sct=hp_t11_a2
Who said the Patriots had a "mighty" defense? There were 14 QBs in week one who surpassed 300 yards, which is amazing. Last season through two weeks, there were only nine 300-yard games in the books combined. I'm sure things will kind of settle down and even out a little, but at the same time I kind of wonder if this is what football is going to be like from now on. Closer to home for you... I don't think you expected Tony Romo to put up nearly 350 on your defense. I know I didn't.
my mantra seems to be "this is all CBA related". i partially believe it, and partially trying to convince myself of it. i'm hoping its just lack of time being on-field and as such the product is quite noticeably different on the topic of Romo, however.... given enough time, he will find a way to shoot himself in the foot. thanks tony.
I've got to agree with that mantra. I honestly thought it would be the other way around (defenses ahead of offenses at this point), but clearly I have no freaking idea what I'm talking about.
