Sorry I am not convinced about Eric Johnson. He has never played a full season, missed two of the last three years, is white and from Yale. His best season was two years ago when he caught 82 balls for 825 yards and 10.1 ypc. Unfortunately he only caught 2 TDs  that year and only 5 on his career. In my opinion, his breakout year was a statistical anomaly in which he benefitted from the departure of Terrell Owens, leaving him as the only target on offense. When the QB has no one else to throw to, the TE is bound to catch balls as the safety valve. Give them Davis and Smith suddenly has an athlete who can outrun Linebackers and outmuscle Defensive Backs. Personally, at the end of the season, I thought they would have taken DeAngelo Williams to take the pressure off of Smith, but now it looks like they can get him at #22 and give their offense a much needed boost.
