I think this is a very good and fair post. Your line of thought is similar to mine. Great D going to have a fair to poor offense.

The Jets range is most likely 8-8 if Sanchez blows and 11-5 if he is a little better than I expect. I think your team has a similar range albeit for opposite reasons.

BTW not to belabor as I am not a grammar nazi as mine sucks balls. Paragraphs do help the reader and will stop the omg another troll. It is obvious from reading that wasn't your intention(trolling).

My bold predictions for the AFC east...

Tom Brady throws for 4500 yards and 38+TDs, and the Patriots win.

Ladanian Tomlinson finishes with more fantasy points than Shonne Greene (through either injury or just the pure unadulterated beast mode that LT has been in).

Brandon Marshall has less than 90 catches.

Miami and NYJ both finish between 9-7 and 10-6. One of the two goes to the playoffs.

    PUT IT ON THE BOARD.

    yyyyes!!!!

    Alexxxiiii!

on to the Jets...this teams running game and defense were good enough to be an 11-5 or 12-4 team last season.

how many games did this team lose in the last minute? both dolphin games, bills, jaguars, falcons...the defense can be blamed for some of those because they allowed late scoring drives in 3 of them but overall, sanchez is the reason why the jets lost with his poor performance before that.

they lost many games because of sanchez and won inspite of him.

i see the defense and running game being very similar to last season. sanchez has more weapons then ever. will he finally grow up? we'll find out.

Again, no mention of the Bills. Thats ok, let us keep flying under the radar. We'll sneak right into a division title and playoff birth on everyone.

If we are judging by pre-season games which i see a few posters in this thread already have, then the Bills are the best team in the division because the Jets and Pats looked awful lastnight. Be sure to tune into the Bills tonight

LOL, yeah it's definately one of my favorites.

Now, on your Bills, I think they are headed in the right direction and I honestly wouldn't be shocked with a 7-9 to 8-8- type of season where they give the Jets, Dolphins, and Pats some annoying fits (Maybe steal a game from two of the three - I mean, you guys have to beat the Pats eventually, right?) But there is no chance in hell that they finish ahead of the Jets, Dolphins, AND Pats. Even if two of those three teams underachieve and fail to live up to expectations, the other one won't and will win the division. Personally, I'm having a hard time not seeing either the Jets or Pats winning the division. And again, I think 8-8 is if everything breaks right for you guys. I'd go with 6-10, something like that.

Btw, I loved the Spiller pick. I think he will develop into a star, longterm.

    Thats playoff BERTH.

A playoff birth is a messy, bloody affair that leads to sleepless nights and a drained bank account.

I am not gonna disagree that we are a year or two away ... we are very young. 5 or 6 defensive starters will be 25 or younger this season.

with that being said, i would not be shocked if we won 10 games this year. It also wouldn't surprise me if we only won 8, which would pretty much mean no playoffs

While I think Sanchez is around the 20 mark for QB, I know our running game will be around 3, 2 or 1... I think we run for about 160 yards a game again, and if sanchez can have a 2700 yard season ( 170 yards a game) and manage the game like he did in the playoffs and the last 2 games. I think he winds up throwing close to 20 td and around 12-14 int.. which will make us a top half offense in the league. Ill take an offense that puts close to 350 yards a game, and scores 20points. That will be enough for us to win 10-12 games...

I think Miami is probably a year or two away from contending for a superbowl, but its not unreasonable to think they can win a playoff game or two.

    Really a year or two?

Better be sooner than later. B-Marsh will probably get in some trouble over the next few years ala Plaxico. I'm saying 6 months in jail for DUI or sexually assaulting some chick or maybe he'll shoot someone?
