1. Andrew Luck 2. Russell Wilson 3. Nick Foles 4. Ryan Tannehill 5. Robert Griffin III 6. Kirk Cousins
Not a terrible list, but this is much more accurate. The factors being considered in this, are up to date stats, accomplishments, potential moving forward, and overall talent. If I have to use the guys you used, here we go... 1. Luck 2. Wilson 3. RG3 4. Foles 5. Tannehill 6. Cousins 7. Rottweiler, aka. Brock. Osweiler.
Why is it "accurate"? RG3 had a down year after a good rookie season. IMO Luck, Wilson, Foles and Tannehill had better seasons than him.
I really want to see more of Brock Osweiler. He is a huge QB but is sitting behind Peyton Manning. It kinds me of what Rodgers went through. It would not shock me at all if he came in and made an impact whenever Peyton retires. As far as my list: 1. Wilson (have had him #1 before anyone of these guys started) 2. Nick Foles (sorry my eyes dont decieve me, the way he played this season was no fluke at all, he did it and deserves credit, if RG3 or Luck put up those numbers they would be getting called elite) 3. Andrew Luck (his team is not as bad as it is made out to be, and as good as that playoff comeback was, it was almost nearly negated for the way he played the following week) 4. Tannenhill 5. RG3 6. Cousins Im not sure if any of you guys heard though, Tannenhill is reportedly close to being benched already, Philbin apparently like Matt Moore. http://www.thephinsider.com/2014/2/...-push-ryan-tannehill-have-faith-in-matt-moore
luck wilson foles rg3 tannehill cousins still think luck can be the qb that can carry a team. i want to see more from wilson in that regard. wouldn't be surprised if cousin overtakes rg3 and tannehill in the next 2 years
Wilson RG3 Foles . . . Luck. Luck will be a bust in due time. They did their best to keep his INT numbers down this year by creating short routes for him the second they let go of the leash in the playoffs he stunk it up. I mean 7 INTs in 2 games stunk. And, the Colts will miss the playoffs next year. Teams that will represent the AFC: Jets Baltimore New England Texans Denver Cincinnati
Luck hasnt played under any pressure yet, I think that is going to change though starting next year. I think the Colts are going to get picked more next season to make a Super Bowl run. That is when we will really find out how good he is.
Yes because being called the best QB prospect since PM and that he will be replacing PM in Indy is noooooo pressure at all. :breakdance: 1) Luck 2) Wilson 3) Foles 4) RGIII 5) Tannehill 6) Cousins This would be how I would draft them if I was creating a team
I don't see anything about Luck that screams bust. He looks more like a perennial pro-bowler than a bust. So he had a couple of stinkers. What QB hasn't?
1. Andrew Luck 2. Robert Griffin III 3. Russell Wilson 4. Nick Foles 5. Kirk Cousins 6. Ryan Tannehill
LOL, this coming from the guy who massively dumps on Luck when he has a bad game but disappears for weeks when he's making stunning comeback win after stunning comeback win. Never a peep out of you after this play, this incredible comeback. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WvPpsexo9P8 _
Wilson won the Super Bowl, there is no guarantee that Luck maxes out the way Wilson has if he was on the Seahawks. Wilson has left me without a single question about himself.
As of right now i'd have it at Wilson Luck Tannehill RGIII Foles My reasoning is this. Wilson has been the most productive out of the class over the last 2 seasons. I don't really think that can be argued. He's performed consistently well against the best competition. Luck's been good but not as good as Wilson yet. He doesn't have the weapons Wilson has yet so that hurts him as well. Eventually I expect him to pass him. RGIII is behind Tannehill because he was a non factor this season due to injury and fighting with Shanahan. It was a lost year for him. I like Tannehill, he had a very good year this season. The team collapsed after starting off 3-0 but his play was good for the majority of the season. He played poorly the final 2 games but the large majority was good. Foles, I need to see more from. His stat line is strong but he only started 10 games this year and 16 as a pro. Just want to see a bigger sample size. I'm still not convinced that Chip Kelly loves him either. He's not the ideal fit for that system. Eventually I expect it to be something like Luck Wilson RGIII Tannehill Foles I'm an advanced metrics fan and PFF graded them out as 2013 Russell Wilson was ranked the #4 overall QB in the league with a +23.1 grade. His passing was +13.1 and his running was +10.8 Ryan Tannehill graded out as the #7 overall QB in the league with a +16.4 grade. His passing +15.2 and his running was -0.4. Andrew Luck graded out as the #12 overall QB in the league with a +11.1 grade. His passing was -1, and his running was a +9.4. Nick Foles graded out as the 16th best QB in the league with a +5.4 grade. Hi s passing was a +5.6 and his running was a +0.6. RGIII graded out as the 30th overall QB in the league with a -6.4 grade. His passing was a -8.7 while his running was a +2.6. Just throwing that out there.
PFF is pretty generally mocked as a grading source. Their advanced stats are great for positions like corners, as they track targets, incompletions, etc. But their grading leaves a lot to be desired.
I like it. Just the idea that they grade every play and not just the final stat line. I think it gives you a more in depth look at player analysis. I haven't seen it mocked.
Grading Tannehill over Luck is a joke. Tannehill had 4 really good games in 16 starts he had another 4 or 5 decent games. He had 5 outright disastrous outings and the Fins were 0-5 in those games. Luck had 10 really good games in 16 starts. He had another couple of games that were decent. He had 2 real stinkers all year and the Colts were 0-2 in those games. Any service that is grading Ryan Tannehill out as that much better than Luck is a joke. BTW, I'm not a Luck is a great QB person. I think he is a very good QB. Ryan Tannehill is an average QB with some potential but nowhere near the performance level that Luck is at to date.
That is not true. The first instance I can find where you ranked Wilson above Luck and company was on 12/16/12 when you stated that Wilson is the best rookie QB. Earlier in the year, you noted Luck would be the top QB in the league in five years. There is also this post- http://forums.theganggreen.com/showpost.php?p=2609778&postcount=4 It is perfectly normal and okay to change your opinion on players. It is poor form, though, to say you had Wilson at #1 before any of these guys started. It is poor form because it is a lie. This is Mike Francesser activity. "I NEVA SAID DAT!!!"
