just heard on SNY and he doesnt trust the Mets doctors and is using his own doctors.it is arthoscopic at first thought to need microfracture which would have been the whole year. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/20...an/index.html?eref=twitter_feed#ixzz0cYBgf3hu
Oh my, can we just call it the season already, and to think they are thinking of bringing back Carlos Delgado, he will soon be on the DL, followed by Reyes and then the pitching staff....uuugghhh I have to change the baseball team I root for.
I posted this in the offseason thread. This could get ugly on a few levels. Microfracture surgery is no joke and it's never good when a team considers a lawsuit against its own player. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/pla...rt=MLB&id=2706 Jan. 13 - 9:55 pm et Carlos Beltran underwent microfracture surgery on his right knee Wednesday afternoon and is expected to be idle for the next 12 weeks. The Mets released a statement on the matter just moments ago stating that Beltran began experiencing "osteoarthritis of the right knee" several weeks ago "to the point where pre-spring training conditioning became too painful." He opted to undergo the procedure through his own personal doctor and will almost certainly miss the first month of the season, if not more. The Mets may rush to sign another outfielder before spring training begins. Source: Joel Sherman on Twitter Jan. 13 - 10:25 pm et The Mets are maintaining that Carlos Beltran's right knee surgery was done without their blessing and may pursue some form of action. It's possible (but unlikely) the Mets could move to void Beltran's entire contract. More than likely, they'll try to recoup partial monetary loss, perhaps in returned salary for the time he will be out. However, these types of suits against a player rarely succeed, never mind win. Beltran is expected to be out no less than 12 weeks with the injury. Source: Twitter: Joel Sherman
Francessa is pounding the Mets listening to the presser... Rico sounds completely incompetent, which is saying something since Omar isn't allowed to speak anymore
This BS has been going on for 2 years now with all the mishandling of players health... WTF!?? the METS really have to address that shit already. Fire the medical staff, have a 2nd staff something. It's embarassing
This is such a Mets thing to happen. If you guys are to get to the next level, changes up top HAVE to be made.
