Breaking: The Raiders have fired head coach Pete Carroll, per @AdamSchefter.

Carroll signed a three-year deal one year ago, and the Raiders finished this season with the NFL’s worst record.

I just read that the only team the Jets beat this year that didn’t fire their HC is the Bengals.

I cant see how Harbaugh isnt fired. The amount of talent on that roster and complete lack of success is astonishing.

Also cant believe Ballard has survived as GM through failed coach after coach after coach.

Falcons fired their GM as well. Probably because of the Penix disaster. Forget the fact that he was obviously going to tear his ACL (for the 5th time), he reportedly wouldn’t or couldn’t take snaps under center because of his knees. That’s why they had to build a pistol offense with the best running back in the NFL.

I wonder if the Giants kept Schoen simply because Mara is going through cancer treatment and can’t handle hiring both a GM and coach right now. Giants have some talent that he’s accumulated though.

Kudos to Mark Davis. He’s obviously an awful owner but he’s not scared to keep trying to fix it. Even if the next decision ends up being worse than the first.

Meh. I wrote in a thread about Harbaugh and Tomlin that I think Harbaugh is kind of fools gold. He's a better coach than any in NY, but I don't think he's this elite head coach at this stage.

Plus, he won his SB with an all time defense and very good offense... and has not done anything with arguably the best player in football the past few years with an absolutely stacked team.

Not to mention in between those eras, he was not a winning head coach. It'll be interesting to see where he lands and how successful he is.

I'd LOVE to see him running the Jets offense as OC someday soon.
