Just because you don't like what they have to say doesn't make it untrue. As for the media "trying to create a controversy", the Jets did that all by themselves when they traded for Tebow. Sanchez struggled last year, especially late in the season. Fact. Signing a viable backup in Stanton was a smart move in case Sanchez continued to fail. Trading for Tebow seems to put the writing on the wall that Sanchez is going to be benched for him early on as all the Tebots will be screaming his name the first time Sanchez throws an INT or struggles. All this talk from Ryan about using Tebow on up to 20 snaps a game simply adds to the perception that the Jets offense is gearing up for a change from Sanchez to Tebow.
amani toomer is an awful broadcaster and he hates the Jets. There's not one sane media member who thinks Tebow is better than Sanchez. It's ok to criticize the Jets but try to be fair about it.
Jets created a controversy sure, But any words coming from your mouth about Mark Sanchez should be swept away quicker than those pesky black squirrels that frequent the Olean/Allegany river region.

They aren't providing detailed explanations nor are they making a case The struggles of the QB go farther than the QB himself ... I don't think he played bad against the Eagles ... If I'm pointing the finger obviously its at Hunter and Holmes Given the situation we could of called a better game against the Giants And pretty much the team was on vacation the last game of the year But I understand its easy to blame the qb for everything and anything They are creating a controversy I have no doubt in my mind ... At this point what else could they talk about? The Giants?
If I were writing a sports column in the NY area right now, I doubt many of the homers here would be happy with it.

I know who Amani Toomer is; we have newspapers, tv, and internet even in the wilds of Upstate NY. Maybe Jets fans should take off their green-shaded glasses and take a good, hard look at the actions of their team since the end of the season. Maybe Jets fans ought to read articles for comprehension, too. Nowhere did Toomer say Tebow was better than Sanchez. He said that Sanchez wasn't very good, and that's pretty factual. He said he expected Tebow to replace Sanchez. He didn't say that that would be a good move, just that he thought that was going to happen. It's probably what most football fans around the country figure will happen, too, and probably sooner rather than later.
He is being like a fan, there isn't any analysis going on there from Amani. if he presented a case maybe I'd take him seriously but through 3 years Sanchez has been better than his old QB was through his first 3 years. Tim Tebow is not starting for this team unless Sanchez gets hurt, why would any team want a QB who can't pass to be their starting QB? Not even Buf who hasn't had a decent QB since Flutie would want tebow to start.
Really? Hunter and Holmes are NOT responsible for making pre-snap reads. That's the QB, and that's what Sanchez can't do which is why he gets sacked so much. DOH! Hunter and Holmes are NOT the ones throwing 3 yard dump offs to the RB or TE on third-and-tens because they can't find open receivers in tight coverage. Sanchez needs to grow a real pair and throw the damn ball! An INT thirty or forty yards downfield is hardly the end of the world! Hunter and Holmes are NOT the ones who throw behind receivers or throw INTs because they can't recognize when a receiver is coming open, and so throw late. The worse thing a QB can do is throw late, and Sanchez does that a lot. I suspect when Tebow gets to be the starter, the Jets OL will experience a remarkable improvement in the number of sacks given up. Tebow may not be very good and he may not be able to read a defense any better than Sanchez, but he's sure as hell not afraid to throw the ball down the field. Unfortunately, that probably won't help the Jets offense or win-loss record much.
Did you watch any Jets games? If so you would have seen the number of times where Sanchez didnt get 2 seconds to make a read. Hunter got flat out beat so many times it was unreal. Holmes would get double covered and Plax was to slow to get open.

Keep telling yourself that right up until Timmy is named the starting QB in, oh, about game 4 or so. Of course the Bills wouldn't be interested in Tebow ... they not only embarrassed his ass last Christmas Eve so they know all about him, but they are building a solid team while selling lots of season tixes by signing quality FAs not trading for a circus sideshow.

If Sanchez read the defenses better and the Jets CS called more 3 step drops that wouldn't happen. Fitzpatrick regularly had to get rid of the ball in < 2 seconds because of the crappy play of the Bills OTs. He did that because he can make pre-snap reads. That's why he was only sacked only 22 times. Three of the Jets OLers went to the Pro Bowl. That says most observers put most of those sacks on Sanchez NOT on the OL.
It's not wht they report tht gets me its how they take everything and turn it around with a negative context like they did with the Revis and Holmes interviews. Also im getting real sick of "analysts" taking this and assuming its gonna fail b4 seeing the final product. Like those assclowns on nfl total access who have antonio brown taste test sandwhiches and because he likes the taste of one better it means tebows gonna start. Like seriously?????
