Since this is just the beginning of a very long offseason I thought we could try a game. I will start by posting a pieces of a picture of a Jets Player or Jets moment and ask you to figure out who this player or what the Jets moment is. Every few hours I will add the next piece of the picture. I will do this until someone guesses correctly who the player or the Jets moment. Name the Player:
I dont know if the tradition still held of home team had the choice of Jersey's. So I am assuming jets are on the road. Its a baseball stadium and the Colts and O's played in the same stadium. Buff, Hous, Mia, New Orleans didnt have baseball teams Red Sox play in fenway, not the fox and Philly had turf so it has to be Baltimore unless its some home game curve ball(I have never been in Shea)
Well, Houston did have a baseball team. The photo is definitely not from the Oilers game, however. Obviously, they played on a rug in the Astrodome. I believe the Colts wore their blue jerseys at home throughout the 1977 season. Throughout most of the 1950s and 1960s they wore white at home. The fact that infield dirt is present in the picture does not make me lean away from thinking the photo is from the November '77 Jets at Colts game. I don't think the Colts bothered with planting sod over the infield dirt. That field was always a mess by the second half of the season. I know the infield dirt was still present on October 23, 1983 when the Dolphins and Colts played in a mud bath. The World Series had ended a week earlier.
