Sorry if this has been posted, but he has been QUESTIONABLE since the JAX game. Any chance he plays in NE in two weeks. Our best running of the season came when he and Leon were in against Indy.

Beating NE will be tough and we will have to establish a running game to get Chad his looks. While NE is great against the run maybe Leon and Cedric can get it done.

I don't think people appreciate Barlow enough here. He does a LOT of the hard work, running up the middle behind a bunch of rookies and mediocre offensive linemen. Leon Washington is a better playmaker, is more flashy, and can bounce to the outside, but Barlow is not a bad guy in a short yardage/run up the middle kind of guy.

But that being said, I do like Houston in the same role. I've liked him since last year...

The reason people don't appreciate Barlow is because he hasn't done his job well. Although he has taken a lot of carries he hasn't had that much production. However, he has been a great goal line back and I believe he has been playing well the past few weeks

barlow schmarlow. tough yards schmuf yards. Houston could do just as good a job up the gut as Kevan. Barlow just has no burst whatsoever. And no wiggle. He's got size and some power and good hands, but come on, Houston can and will fill that role just as well if not better.

We need him back. Washington and Houston is what it's all about.

A Washington/Houston combo would be unstoppable, lets hope he comes back.

Do you think Indy's defense had anything to do with that?

i agree houston is valuable and will help us, but i like barlow as a goalline/short yardage runner too...i'd like to see houston split carries with leon, maybe save houston til the 4th quarter, let him be fresh for the 4th and pound a tired defense

i like that idea alot. i wouldnt like him cutting into leons carries alot, because our run blocking isnt good enough for leon to break off any 10+ yard runs within 10 carries.

but yeah, Barlow is underrated by this board (in general). let washington get about 15 carries before the 4th, barlow about 8, then pound a fresh Houston in the 4th.

the sad thing is people question whos going to run the ball here next year when I think we just need better run blocking.

either way. houston coming back isnt a bad thing obviously.

I bet he is healthy and gets little or no playing time. Its not smart to bring your young talent back from a injury and make him play vs ne.
