I watched the end of the interview. Gotta love the Whitney Houston song they play. Bodyguard, haha. Anyways, typical bs. but good too know chad feels confident finally being healthy for an offseason.
It was actually about uninsightful of an interview as you could get. - Chad is feeling good - Glad he his working on throwing and core strength instead of brushing his teeth - The Jets expected to go to the playoffs last season - Discussed his celebrity bowling tournement to benefit West Virginia - Discussed Greeny's man crush Nothing about working with Mangini/BS. Nothing about what he has seen in Kellen Clemens. Nothing about Coles/Cotch. Nothing about the freedom he is given to change plays at the line of scrimage. In my best Comic Book Guy voice: Worst Interview Ever
Golic started off the interview with a good question, but Chad did not really pursue it. Golic wanted to know if Chad's arm was getting stronger now that he's a year removed from surgery and rehab. It's the thing that I think is the key to whether Chad can take Mangini to the promised land. Chad's arm limits some of their playcalling and shrinks the field for the defense. However, if he can pick up a little more velocity this offseason, it can add another 20 yards of field the safeties need to worry about.
There is nothing more annoying on this planet than listening to Mike Greenburg. He says about 5 interesting things a year.
Have you heard the other guys while he's on vacation? They make Greeny sound insightful and engaging.
Mike & Mike is so hard to resist because they talk sports half the time, but the other half is awful. And the fill-in guys are just horrendous. I could do without their view of sports as microcosms of the world around us and their over-inflated view of the importance of everything athletes do. That said, it's the best place to get sports news on my morning drive, so I tune in most of the time. And it's by far the best show on ESPN Radio, which is an absolute disgrace compared to WFAN, except for ESPN Radio having Knicks games (then again, we have to put up with Brandon Tierny's halftime reports)
