Unless Im overlooking someone... Hes the overwhelming favorite for this award... again.

At one point I thought he was a dark horse MVP candidate (not lately)

    Any other candidates???

He missed one game last year due to injury. If they give the award to a player who sucked and now doesn't, Kurt Warner gets it over Chad.

    Jonathan Vilma?

EDIT: Come to think of it, CP wouldn't even be the comeback player on his own team. Ronnie Brown.

Warner did not suck last year. He threw 27 touchdowns and was maybe the #1 reason why the Cardinals finished .500, which as you know, is a great season for them.

Jake Delhomme would be my choice through 12 games, even though he has had some statistically poor efforts. Carolina sucked last year mostly because he was injured. He is a big reason why that team is 9-3.

Joey Porter would be another top candidate.

Yeah, I was thinking about him. I suppose he's right there in the mix, too.

Not playing much in 2007 due to being 2nd string.

It is a misconception that the award goes to a player who was injured or horrible the prior season. The award can go to someone who was healthy, but rarely played due to being a backup and it can also go to someone who was not in the league at all the prior season.

Yes, I watch their games. It seems that you do not watch enough of their games and are also homophobic.

If Ricky Williams can heat up towards the end, he's the darkhorse for the award although he may not be too well liked by the media due to what he's done in the past. He got maybe 2 or 3 snaps at RB before Timmons stomped on him and his season. This is a guy who hasnt gotten heavy carries on a team in what 3 maybe 4 years?

For him to have over 500 yards after he was so out of shape playing wise for all these years and to be a pretty decent part in the Miami resurgence has to get him some looks.

That's a good post. Williams is a possibility, too.

Lol good point, but i think its going to Kerry Collins just because he wasnt a starter last year and came out of no where sort of with Vince Young their. But Thomas Jones has a shot, big improvement from 1 td last year to say the least.
