If Chad could reproduce that first half for the rest of the season I'd shit my pants....

Great, great first half. Questionable throws in the 2nd, but a W, and a big W, is most welcomed.

You know, sometimes I really don't understand the mentality of some people. Apparently, after a win we're not allowed to think any thoughts that can be construed as negative. Rather, we bask in our glory and dance in the land of sunshine and rainbows. Yay.

F that, take your heads out of the sand people. Chad Pennington has tons of limitations that teams with good defenses exploit. When he's in a rhythm and has protection he does well but he's never going to be the type of QB that can win a game for you on his own against a great D.

Is he serviceable? Absolutely. Are we ever going to win a Super Bowl with him? Not unless we can transform into the 2000 Ravens with a great running game and defense.

Okay so after a win we take a one week vacation from reality, got it.

The reality is we are 7-5 and control our own destiny for postseason, the reality is we are 7-5 thanks in alrge part to Chad Pennington being healthy.

After 2 straight wins, the fact he has us the playoff hunt, and maybe the fact over the last half of the Houston game and over the first of the GB game, Chad was 38-44, 400 yards and 3 TD's. But I know, anyone could do that...

Fact is when we win, you say we win in spite of Chad. When we lose, we lose because of Chad. We all get how your warped world interprets these games...but that's fine, keep up your bitching. Unfortuntely you're going to be crying for a while because Mangini's not handing the keys to Clemens for a while... deal with it

Coincidentally since Chad took over in 2002:

We are 28-21 when Chad starts and 7-16 when he doesn't start.

Bitching? I say we win in spite of Chad? I think you have me confused with someone else. I'm certainly not bitching and Chad has played very well the past two games. I had no doubt in my mind that he would. This team is a 9-7 or 10-6 team with Chad and I'm not denying that. This team is ALWAYS a 9-7 or 10-6 team with Chad.

That's what Chad gives you - good, but not great and awful against great D's. We can hang our hats on this and be relegated to defeat at the hands of teams like Bal, Chicago, and Jax. Fine then.

We're actually 29-21 overall when Chad starts, and 8-19 when he doesn't

Phew, I would HATE to see what this place would look like if we played DOWN to everyone's expectations. Who expected this type of success? It's safe to say that besides NO, we are the surprise team this year, and QB has to be part of that, right?

Chad P is on his way to earning comeback player of the year. You can complain all you like, he isn't perfect, he never will be, but he's our guy (until injuries hit). Take it or leave it.

At least take the time to enjoy our only blowout win of the season b4 going crazy about how Chad doesn't have a rocket for an arm. Believe me, we all notice that too.

Isn't it tough enough being a jet fan, lets not complain about blowout wins....

the "average" QB line against Houston this year in 12 games looks like this: 20-32 228 1.4td 0.7int

    Chad's was 24-31 286 1td 0 int

    the average for GB: 20-34 235 2td 1int

    Chad's was 25-35 263 2td 2int

Let's keep a little perspective here, please.

You also waited until the Mets were 100 games up to take how many games Willie Randolph cost them out of your signature.

I was hoping someone was paying attention to that besides me. I don't know what Shanahan was thinking, 7-4 is not the time to start experiencing growing pains with a rookie QB. But hey, it opens a spot up for us.

What is boils down to with me is Chad is my favorite player and given me some of the best Jet moments in recent history. I am not one of these fans who throws players under the bus.

I want Chad to do well, and I am really happy he has bounced back. He could lead us to the playoffs for the 3rd time.

It is the best story in the NFL.
