    nope.

let the rumors start swirling again about him being our OC next year...

so then what happens if SD wins out? that would be hilarious if they take it back haha

Hiring Norv Turner should have never occurred in San Diego from the start... kinda late on letting him go. Now that the team has been run aground for the most part.

Surprised they are firing Smith. I had thought he was a good GM.

    Smith? Really?

That said they made a smart move by firing both... but I don't think we'll have interest in Turner since he doesn't fit what Rex wants to do on O.

    Emmitt Smith says hi.

P.S. Brian Schottenheimer says hi too.

Note: I am not advocating Schottenheimer - I am just saying, if Rex has no problem with Schottenheimer in terms of the offensive philosophy, then he shouldn't have any problem with Turner either.

Don't you get the feeling Rex was "encouraged" to keep Schotty as his OC? Also he was a 1st time HC so I'm not sure how much choice they gave him.

He dropped the ball big time this offseason.

Plus, I can't help but get the feeling that Spanos has been looking for a good excuse to get rid of him (since Smith is notoriously one of the biggest assholes in football.)
