A great player, but I'm glad we're passing on him, and he on us. He'll be 36, and had major spinal surgery. I doubt he'll be the same player he was in Indy.

Even if he is it'd be like the Colts moving to the AFC West. If P Manning doesn't go to Miami we dodge a huge bullet.... That being said, it'd be nice if he fucked off to Arizona.

I hope you're right. I'd like nothing better then for him to depart for the NFC, and torture their defenses for a few seasons.

Just go to the cards, I'd be happy for my friend who's a cardinals fan at least.

Why because he hasn't given up on the QB after his third season? Nobody is proclaiming him to be the next elite QB in this league, but expecting him to get better is completely reasonable.

So you don't want Mark Sanchez to be successful?

Oh I know! Let's put Lundqvist at QB instead?

    how about Stoudemire at RB?

I'm sure THEN you'll be putting up Pics of Lundqvist saying how he's going to "tear shit up" as Henrik 2.0 then....

Stat with no knees at RB is a poor investment. I would like to see Shumpert as a safety though.

I bet he would outplay Eric Smith and make the team if he came as he is now, too. lol.

I think theres 0 chance of him going to Houston.

But the fact that Miami is losing steam is interesting. I still desperately hope he ends up in Miami, and the fact that Miami is losing steam could lead them to become even more desperate for Peyton, and end up significantly overpaying him without requiring him to prove that his arm strength is up to par.

Eitherway I truly hope Peyton ends up in Miami, and they have to completely mortgage the future to do it.

Hell I think its truly think its possible that Miami could get desperate enough to offer a 3 way deal to bring Peyton, Wayne, AND Clark in. Which means theyll be in cap hell, and lose out on so so sooo much talent.

Peyton/Wayne/Clark in Miami spells great great things for the Jets future in the AFC east, and thats a fact.

With Brady retiring in a short few years, and Miami doing something so stupid to fuck themselves long term, the Jets could have a strong hold on the AFC east for a while.

Peyton to Miami, make it happen !

interesting that it is starting to come out now that the Jets front office was all about going after Manning from the very beginning. I for one, am happy he is not going to be a Jet.

    HOWEVER!!
I can't help but wonder why it is exactly that he wrote off the Jets without even a conversation. There is the possibility that he wouldn't want to compete in the same market with Eli, meaning that this is Eli's town, he wants to stay out of it.

    BUT!!
I can't help but speculate that he didn't even give Woody Johnson a the courtesy of a conversation because the Jets head coach is Rex Ryan. More fodder for why the Ravens knew he wasn't the guy to lead their franchise.

I saw some video clips on ESPN today regarding the Jets thinking they would have had a shot at Manning, I will check if it is still there. Doug Stewart and Skip Bayless said he wouldn't even talk to the Jets when they thought they had a shot

the only thing the Jets said publicly about Manning is that they would explore all options, or some comparable PR cliche. they never stated anything about him being what their main focus was this off season.

I agree with the 1st, but if that's the case, what the freakin hell would the 2nd have anything to do with that?

the argument that they were making is that Rex Ryan is not the type of coach (person wise) that Manning would want to play for. The term Rex Ryan circus was used

well, we all know that they wouldn't say much while he was under contract with the Colts, since his release, it seems Manning has dictated his own terms and there was a report that he said he had no interest in the Jets or Redskins. That might be because it was reported that the Jets and Redskins were interested.
