    Man he looks sorry

he has no highlights so they show same highlight 4x on 4 diff camera angles as if it was an exciting play

nice wobbly pass all slow and crappy

    bit short too

    horrible draft now

Nothing like someone knowing jackshit about a player, then trashing them with nothing to back it up. I am stationed in Cali, and I see all the west coast games every week. Clemens is a SOLID qb, he has a very good arm, and very good touch. For those of you who seem to think he has a weak arm, try watching some film of the kid. Also, the kid had decent wheels to avoid the rush. Although, we'll see where he stands on speed after his ankle injury.

They say he has real good instincts too, he reads the defense very well and is decisive, great pick.

On ESPN they said, this was Jaws - Clemens reads the defense better than any other QB in this draft.

What ever the video Jaws played looked pretty impressive to me.

He also has a rep of having a strong arm. That'll make two guns on the roster this year with him and Ramsey. Last time the Jets started a season with two guns was 1998 with Vinny and Glen Foley. And we all know how that one worked out.

Judging from that video I think we should get Demitrus Williams too

The best part is with Ramsey and Chad on the roster there is no reason to rush Clemens along. He can sit for a year and learn Schott's system and come in when we are ready to compete.....

I only saw Clemens play twice last season but he didn't impress me then. The entire ESPn crew seems to think we made a great pick though.

You're absolutely right. I'm a Raider fan but watched him play high school ball (being from the same town) and college. His arm isn't quite as strong as they say but it is better than average, he's very smart and more athletic than he looks. He was an all-state safety as well. The best thing about him is the improvement he's made each year. He hasn't peaked yet and his best football is ahead of him. I would have liked to get him but this entire town is now Jets fans. I hate bandwagon fans. Thanks for LaMont as well.

Mike and Chris had Mike Mayock, the NFL Network Draft guru, on Friday. He said Jaws told him watch video of this kid because he's special. Mayock said he can make unbalance throws, makes quick reads, gets rid of the football on time and can stick it in between defenders.

Welcome aboard, living on the West Coast I love watching Pac 10 football and the Ducks are always on. I loved what he did in the early in the SC game. The guy has the ability to sit and learn the system and then in a year or 2 he will be handed the reigns. I think the Jets made out like bandits....

Thanks. I feel a strange kinship the the Jets. With LJ, Barton and Jolley. And a few years back when we were both playoff teams it seemed like we played eachother every other week. I know you guys were upset about the Jolley deal but I really liked, and still like him and Barton. I've seen Jolley make some great catches.

    ...

The only think I picked up from that video is that Oregon's receivers excel at catching passes thrown behind them. That being said, nothing to do now, so here's wishing Clemens good luck.

Does he remind anyone else of Richard Todd? Same kind of stance and throwing motion.
