I started a thread in the beginning of the year and I predicted the jets to go 9-7 and for them to win in buffalo. Well they won in buffalo and they did a great job this season like I said they would. This thread is all in good fun btw.

Well Good Morning to you too AT and JF119! :)

Yep, I certainly did post that and just like every other skeptical Jets Fan, I was waaay wrong. Not only has this team far exceeded my expectations, they bought home a PO appearance as well. I still call that a bonus too.

I asked for Chad to play 16 games and he did just that. Another shocker! You gotta give Chad all the credit in the world. Every Qb turns in a stinker now and then but for the most part, Chad has proved he certainly is the unquestioned leader and until proven otherwise, the starting Qb of the NYJ's.

I'm more than pleased with how this year turned out. I can't see how anyone that calls themselves a Jet Fan could have anything to bitch about during this season. The only surprises were good ones. The changes in both system and management couldn't have worked out better.

We're playing in January. That says it all man!

Happy New Year and Go Jets!!!

agreed. Cman certainly wasn't the only skeptical one on this board. I didn't have high expectations and was looking forward to a good draft spot more than anything!

I was right with Cman50. I was expecting 4 maybe 5 wins this season.

So was I. I actually felt 5 was a stretch. We should all be heaping kudos on Winny as he hit it right on the head

I said 4 wins would be a "successful" season. Man, I've never been so happy to be wrong!

I said we were going 10-6, get the #5 seed and get burned on a tough call in the Cleveland game. As soon as I find the link I'll dig it up.

I thought 4-5 with outside shot at 6. Glad to be wrong.

can we give all the "isaid we would be great and you said we would suck, so youre soooo wrong" threads and posts a rest already?

someone posted "expert" opinions on the jets before the season, and mocked them. meanwhile, each one made at least one valid point. like, our RBs are suspect without CMART, or our QB is up in the air b/c we dont know how chad will play.

way to go that you guessed right! dont break your arm patting yourself on the back....then you wont be able to use it to point at other people.

I thought we had the talent to go at least .500 but wasn't sure if the new schemes and changes would hold us back. I'm glad to see the schemes have been pretty good overall with a few slips here and there but overall they seem to have a lot of potential for the future and helped us to a pretty damn good season.

I hoped for the best. Really wanted Pennington to succeed.

Thank God he did. Wasn't really sure about a record.

I might of posted something like 7-9 to 9-7 I think.

Good season indeed. CMan50 is not feeling bad you called him out I am sure. :)

I had us down for 6 wins with a good shot at 8, but really, really doubted more than that.

I am not complaining though. This has been a refreshing year. We needed change. We needed something good to happen after last year's embarressment, lying, and bad coaching. All I could have hoped for within reason has been more than answerd by the 2006 Jets and Coaching staff.

Super Bowl? We can dream. It would be off-the-charts insane, but for now, let's take care of business in NE. We know what we have to do to win............don't talk about it; do it.

I thought 6-8 just because of the schedule and a lot of optimism. However, I have never been so happy to be wrong

You know, for as ignorant as he is about football Michael Kay actually picked the Jets to go 10-6 in August.

For the record I figured we would win 5 or 6.
