Coleman is playing very well for us now and nobody has mentioned it so I am.

Agreed. He's made some surprisingly big plays. Happy to cheer for improving Jets!

It's amazing what a player can do when you give them very little responsibility.

Aside from the INT he made a huge play keeping Brown in bounds on that last drive by the Phins. He made a big play in the Pats game last week too. As long as he isn't locked onto a teams #2 or 3WR he is an ok player but he's on par with most other dime backs.

He's been a plus as a tackler, that's what's surprising to me. He got demoted originally because receivers would catch the ball on him and then get big yards after the catch. He's taking people down now, albeit mostly RB's in the flats. Still, it's much harder to tackle a RB than a WR and he's consistently getting it done.

Maybe Westhoff has finally turned him into a good tackler?

He looked pretty sad though on that swing pass to the fullback in the flat when he just basically tripped over himself - even Collinsworth mentioned it.

heckuva first draft by Tanny in 2006

    1) Ferguson
    1A) Mangold
    2) Clemens --(they all can't be gems)
    4) Leon
    4A) Brad Smith
    5) Eric Smith
    6) Drew Coleman

meanwhile in the same draft, Belichick whiffed on

    1) Lawrence Maroney
    2) Chad Jackson
3-7) about 10 other stiffs, none of them still with the Patriots and most out of football altogether

and the years since then have ALSO been terrific for the Jets and pretty much WHIFFS for the Patriots

which is why we are heading toward the division title and they are heading toward battling the Bills for third place

    Collinsworth is an absolute fool.

Made fun of a guy for giving everything he has. Even guys like drew bress and peyton manning trip over themselves sometimes.

Coleman has especially stepped up on Special Teams with the absence of Wallace Wright.

    I agree

He played a lot as the outside CB, opposite Cro, in the 2nd half and did a really good job

Maybe it was because of the receivers he was going against

But those same guys were killing us earlier in the game when the rookie was on em

Only bad thing was when he tripped over himself trying to chase a RB/TE down

I would feel more safe with him starting right now than the rookie(as scary as that sounds)

It would be nice to see them load up on picks for a draft again. They've been pretty damn good with their picks the last 4 years.
