With Kerley down on the depth chart and Benjamin now out for the year, does anyone think the jets should consider moving Kerley for a pick from the receiver-poor Panthers? Good teams like the Pats move guys like Seymour and Mankins and get someone in return. Strike when the iron is hot. Might get a decent pick for a guy who for now looks like he could be a reserve.

Kerley doesn't have value around the league IMO. He is what he is. A good number 3 WR.

The 5th rounder we would get back him isn't worth it.

I highly doubt we'd get a 5th for him. His best season netted him a little more than 500 yards. He's very pedestrian but given his cap hit and our older receivers at the top of the depth chart, it makes no sense to trade him for a 6th or 7th at the beginning of the year.

I'm not trading Kerley until someone else makes him expendable in games that matter.

Maybe next off season when we may need some cap even though he won't bring that great of relief. No point in trading him now for anything that won't help us this year (such as future draft picks.) We should use our depth as an advantage.

Even if JK was expendable to trade the dead money incurred for doing so would make it prohibitive. He stayin.

If he's down on the depth chart as you say, why in hell would any team give up draft pick for him? Should the QB-poor Jets trade a draft pick for some other team's potential castoff?

  10. I've long felt Kerley was way overrated & was only made to look good based on the crap around him. Interesting to note that the Jets passing game woes erupted his draft year(2011).Could be mere coincidence..but just sayin.

That said he is a "short area quickness" type that the Patriots love & you can bet your five stars they'd pounce all over him if given the chance.

Don't think I wanna see that

No way I'd get rid of the kid, we haven't even seen any of our supposed great depth do anything when it counts.

That's another valid reason why you don't let him go. Regardless of the skill you almost have to predict Belichick will pick him up and turn him into a 95 catch player even if its for 900 yards just to piss on us.

If I'm the Panthers I'm going after one of the Colt speedsters first.

Why would they trade for Kerley, when they could sign Wes Welker or Reggie Wayne for a year?

Kerley is a fan favorite so jets fans like to overlook his true value lol. I don't see why trade him. Dev Smith could be injure prone and i pray you people aren't going to say Owusu or Enuewa is better that Kerley lol. They are camp stand outs not impact players. keeping one of them is good for our depth and sending the other to the PS, but honestly i think i like TJ Graham over both of them.

I dont think we could much of anything for Kerley. Probably a 5th or 6th rounder at best. But is that really worth trading him for? Are we gonna get a player in one of those rounds who'd be better than Kerley?

Trading Kerley would make zero sense at this point.....There's still a lot of question marks at WR with the exception of Decker and Marshall. And if one of them goes down we would need Kerley....But with That said unless he has a big year I think this is his last year with the team

3rd best receiver on the team, no contest, and we're talking about trading him? o_O

    9 drops in 4 years… wow.

Nobody is trading for Kerley between his contract and he's a #3 guy, which isn't what Carolina needs. And we shouldn't be trading Kerley.

If anything, we should be trying to unload a guy like Shaq Evans or someone at bottom of roster to them for a late pick
