I would be too, since he's MINIMUM WAGE. It would be hard to imagine we would not keep him at minimum wage.
Jets | Jolley on the bubble? Tue, 22 Aug 2006 06:03:31 -0700 Dave Hutchinson, of the Star-Ledger, reports the arrival of TE Walter Rasby with the New York Jets could spell trouble for TE Doug Jolley.
If he jumps offsides again in the red zone his days could be numbered. Mangini is already pissed we can't finish drives, chronic offenders may not be tolerated.
Yeah neither is Jolley though.. At least Rasby can block.. If Mangini really is considering playing Dearth more at TE I would think every TE on the roster is on the bubble..
Who's Jolley? Do the Jets even have a TE in camp? They have been so invisible this preseason it's not even funny. I really hope that eventually we begin making an effort to include the TE in the gameplan. A contribution at the position could do wonders for any offense - especially ours!
Rasby is nothing more than a blocking TE and that's what he'll be used as. Jolley will make the team!
Jolley is on the bubble because he is the worst blocking TE ever. Oakland would have paid us to take him, and Birdbrain Bradway trades down and gets Jolley. Edwards and Bradway were so insistent last year during training camp that Jolley CAN block, it made you wonder why they were trying to tell us that so often. Kinda like "Honest John's Used Cars"-- If they have to tell you THAT (so often), there probably is a problem.
sorry i hated him as player the day bradway made the trade - i wanted heath miller...and still do...we could have had miller and nuge as opposed to miller and nuge!..lol
