Cutting Favre, Moore, and Ellis would save us about $23 million in cap space. Sign Peppers and a top corner (Asomugha would be awesome). Whose on board? Haha, hey we can all dream.

Nice reply. Something serious to offer perhaps? There is a very good argument for cutting Ellis and Moore. Their cap numbers are huge.

While I hate these types of posts, I actually like the idea here. Will never happen though.

Here's something to offer: Peppers is not a free agent.

Who is going to play RG and DE?

We need to keep Moore and Ellis IMO.

Replace either through draft or FA. Ellis is not earning his paycheck.

He will be in February unless the Panthers Franchise him.

He needs to restructure his contract but we have no viable replacement on the roster. He's a solid 3-4 DE. We need to keep him. You don't just go cutting people without having viable replacements lined up.

We'll replace him with FA. I hear that guy is awesome.

You can do it in Madden, then you can take 6 first round draft picks and dominate the league for years..

I agree. If you can tell from my OP, I didn't get into a lot of detail this was just a thought that came into my mind. If he restructures I'd like to keep him for sure but his cap number right now is too big to keep at it's current rate.

Just looked up his contract and he plays for the league minimum too. Make it happen Tanny!

thats right, if we trade our 1st rounder for the lions 1st rounder before the season starts, we can have their 1st rounder because its of equal value.

Moore is a fantastic RG! How many big runs from the Jets this year were to the right, huge gaps opened up by Woody and Moore. Getting rid of him would be foolish. He's just coming into his own as a Guard, after being on the defensive side of the ball up until 3-4yrs ago.

Moore played excellent this year. After the progress that the line made, that would be a huge mistake, see Pete Kendall.
