I rewatched the first half and slow played a lot of the dline play. when Drob lined up at RE i was shocked to see that he was sort of a beast. he was getting really good penetration.

when he went to NT, he was not good. but i did like that he was exerting a ton of effort

thats the reason, the majority of the forum says, get a big NT and switch DRob to End!

I'm with the crowd that thinks Robertson would be great at DE. He is like a bigger Seymour. Only problem is we have all that money tied up in Ellis and Coleman.

Robertson lacks ideal height to play DE.

Ellis wears down pretty quickly in games. It would be nice to see Robertson move to DE more frequently, even if Pouha's not the answer at NT. I agree that Ellis has too much on his contract to think about moving Dewayne permanently. That's what happens when you reward a guy for 2 great seasons in the 4-3 and shift him to the 3-4. With his contract, I doubt we could get any takers for him at this point, let alone anything in return.

he stepped it up as nose tackle at the end of last year- seems to have taken a step backwards
pity everyone on the d-fense seems to have taken a similar step back

I have watched all the games so far, but I have not done some of the film study you guys have. Has C.J. Mosley seen any time? Performance? Official site has him listed as an end but wasn't he at NT against the Eagles in Preseason?

  12. I havent seen D rob at DE yet this year. However, last year he would occassionaly move out to DE and he looked pretty good.

I have said all along that he belongs at DE in this scheme. He may not have the height but he's alot quicker and powerful than alot of 3-4 DE's. I believe he'd be VERY good at that spot.

Unfortunately he's the closest thing on our roster to a true 3-4 NT and we have too much tied up in Ellis and Coleman to make a permanent change.
