Just heard it on espn Culpepper called the jets himself to ask for them to trade for him. He also called the dolphins. I know he wont be traded to the jets i just thought it was interesting he made the call himself to the jets.

It's called the "get me out of MN please, don't care where I land" strategy!

I'll take Culpepper for the fifth round pick we're about to ship off for Ramsey.

Well, it is interesting that he actually called. What does anyone think the Vikes would want for him irrespective of what he would want as money?

    Daunte: "Hey call the JETS"
    Daunte: "Great idea!"
Daunte: "Do they have boats in NY?"
Daunte: "I'll see if we can get one in the contract"
    Daunte: "sweet"
    Daunte: "Want some pineapple?"
    Daunte: "no i'm good...."

I'd rather keep Bolly, and draft Cutler.

    Or get Brees.

I want no part of culpepper,
    He would cost to much.

I would rather have ramsey, he will be alot cheaper, And ramsey will be a better fit for us.

Nothing against Dante, but I would rather not have 2 injured QB's on our roster.

I also think his best days are behind him.

 I'm not thrilled with the idea of getting Ramsey, but when you say we can get Culpepper, I'm embracing the young embattled Redskin QB with open arms. Come on home Patty-boy. lol

It is nice to know that Dante still has some fans out there. :)

I'd rather take a chance with a winning QB coming off an injury than a healthy QB who is a proven loser. Trading for Ramsey makes sense from a salary cap and compensation perspective, but frankly I think we'd be better off drafting a new QB if the Jets FO doesn't have faith in Chad making a return.

Who si this "winning QB" you speak of? Would it be the 2 PO appearances in 5 full years as a QB compared to the "proven loser" who has never been a starter for a full season? Daunte is the proven loser, Ramsey has never had a chance.

If you are going with a proven winner who is hurt, it seems to me that we have one of those on our roster already at the QB position...

What has Dante done in the last couple of years? What has he "won"? Wasn't a Super Bowl. Plus he is far more injury prone than Ramsey. That kid is at least able to take a pounding, which is what we will need from whoever is under center this next year. Maybe next 2 years. Just someone to get us through the rebuilding period. As someone else said, we don't need 2 broke-d*ck QB's on the bench.
