This guy was like a wrecking ball, he was bouncing off guys, running through guys and running past guys! I didnt understand all the hype but wow this guy looks like he is going to be something special, I really think that the Jets should give up a 2nd and 3rd rounder for him, and I know that everybody wil disagree with me but maybe give up both 2nd rounders in fact (keep the 3rd). He is the perfect back for rebuilding around he is young and the Jets could and should lock him up for years to come, something they didnt do with LaMont.
If this is indeed his contract year and san diego will not keep him, then we throw some money at him. Offer him something he can't refuse.
have you even watched the game? their o-line absolutely stinks..the needs to break at least 3 tackles just to get out of the backfield
I'd agree with you, but I honestly don't think our OL is that much better right now. And if he's not going to be great, even with a crappy line, then how can anyone think of offering two 2nd rounders for him? Edge and Shaun couldn't get a single 2nd rounder....
you can get a guy like duckett for a 3rd round pick (former 1st rounder). you can get thomas jones for a 2nd round pick i believe? michael turner should be somewhere in the 3rd round pick range as well. maybe add another backup player to the 3rd round pick but thats about it. i mean the chargers will lose him anyway..so why not just trade him away
No, but as for 2006, it's up to the Chargers whether he stays or goes and they have more reason to keep him than to trade him. If I'm not mistaken he will be an RFA after this season so the Chargers will still be compensated if they let him go. So really, they have no incentive to even consider a deal, unless it's really one-sided in favor of them.
You can give up all hope for Turner, cause they lost Sproles for the year. And IF LT ever went down, they would barely have a backup and for a team that demands so much out of their backs, enough said. Turner won't be traded, but should be available next year.
