If he ends up being our ROLB Barton is going to have to move into MLB. What do you guys think of Thomas playing ROLB?
Well the main reason is becuase it makes you look very uneducated and makes you look young. People will take you alot more seriously if you post like you have a High School diploma.
No, I don't have the software. And, did you even bother to read what GreenMachine told you to do in this thread? http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=7408
Man, we're stacked at linebacker... maybe as a WE/LB hybrid in certain situations, but what do I know?
We are stacked?! Since when? :rofl2: The only solid 3-4 OLB we have is Barton, who will get switched to ILB. So who's left? Hobson? McClover? Are you kidding me? Back to topic. We will NOT run the 3-4 defense ONLY. That would be stupid. My guess is... 4-3 defense: Thomas will start at RDE and Hobson will start at OLB. 3-4 defense: Thomas will start at OLB and Hobson gets a break.
we have a lot of depth at the LB postion. i think it will look something like this. #1 Barton, Kassell, Vilma, Hobson #2 Thomas, Barton, Vilma, Hobson But i think most likely the the Jets will have Barton, Kassell, Vilma, Hobson as their Linebackers.
Guys Hobson is a great fit for an ILB in a 3-4. He has the Size and quickness to shed blocks. He will not be an OLD in a 3-4.
since he has never played OLB befor I dont thin he would be able to beat out Barton who is a very good starting LB. I see BT being a backupOLB in the 3-4 and the starting RE in the 4-3 with Kimo moving inside
Eventhough Hobson doesnt have a lot of sacks, he was great at geting behind the line of scrimage and making tackles and providing pressue as times. He does has the shills to play both OLB and ILB because that is what he did in college. the only reason why I what him to stay at OLB is because BT has no experience at OLB and from what I have seen of him isnt the fastest learner.
