Hi Guys, I have decided to get over to the New York for a game this year, I haven't been for a couple years now and was thinking on the Eagles game. I haven't seen a Jets Eagles game before so it seems a good choice. Can anyone see any downside to picking this game? My reasons for choosing this game are as follows; 1. The game is 6 games into the season so we should still be "alive" no matter how the season has gone.( Have been late December before for a meaningless no atmosphere game). 2. 14th October is still warm enough to enjoy some serious tailgating etc. 3. It's a 1pm kick-off which I like. 4. Haven't seen a Jets, Eagles game before. 5. This should be tough game for us, a real measure of where we are. 6. I'm a big Yanks fan and if the schedule works out I might catch them in - the play-offs or maybe world series. How does this game stack up as a good / bad choice? Are eagles fans really a bunch of ***holes like I am led to believe? Thoughts please.
It's agreat choice, both teams should be pretty good and it's always fun seeing new teams. I have only seen 2 Jets-Eagles game(both late chokes where we had big leads only to blow it) so I want to see them actually beat the Eagles for once(something we have never done home or away).
Also, with Zoom now offering ?120 flights to NY you can get the Christmas shopping done with the extra cash in your pocket!
Good choice .Two good terams and Mcnabb will be back ,so its bound to be a good game! Eagle fans are just like Giant fans . "We play the Jets this week" "No problem easy win!".
Well maybe you will be our good luck charm as we have never ever beaten the Eagles during the regular season
There are always people selling tix in the parking lot or on the way to the Stadium. I also sometimes have an extra ticket or 2 so check back w/ me as it gets closer.
We've never beaten these bums. We were close last time but chad floated an unfortunate pass over the middle. This year we are set to hurt these birds
No, I hve 2 pairs that are a few rows apart. The golden ticket that gets to sit next to me is taken:grin:
Let me guess, champ is coming to visit you? What interesting conversations the two of you could have :drunk:
I was at that game. The unfortunate thing about that pass.. it was preceeded by one of the best play fakes I've ever seen....
i think i will also go to this game. I hear that FOX will be covering this game and if they are, they may be broadcasting from the meadowlands which should be a lot of fun.
The Jets have been 'close' in four games. Not counting the 2003 game, the Jets have blown double-digit second half leads three other times against the Eagles. This may finally be the year.....
That was Pennington's first game of the season. I remember we had Vinny and were doing great, before Pennington came in. I thought that was a horrible game plan by playing two different QBs.
Yes and what was really horrible was announcing mid-week that both QB's would be playing. If you do it unannounced that's one thing. But why give the Eagles advanced notice? One of many dumb moves by Herm......
off topic... but my favorite part of that post is that (me being a Yankee fan) the mindset of a Yankee fan is so unique... we actually without meaning to sound offensive... just basically plan stuff for playoffs/world series. Its about as common and expected as heading to the inlaws for holidays. It's just stuff you do, lol. Stepping aside for a moment. Just struck me as amusing. Apologies for topic.
