Hi Guys, I know our season is imploding in front of us, lets hope for another turnaround like 2002 after a poor 1-4 start. We are still alive for a playoff push even if the pulse is weak.( This sounds like sarcasm doesn't it). Anyway I am over to New York on Thursday for the Eagles game and will be hanging with my man 17a and his crew on Sunday and would be thrilled if anyone from the board stopped by for an adult beverage to talk some football! I'm going out on a limb here but I'm bringing some Scottish luck over with me and 'Guarantee' our first win over the Eagles! Hope some of you guys can make it!
I'll be there. For the Miami game we ended up in 17B which had some decent areas to set up a tent/TV and stuff. For this game my father is considering bringing down an RV. Seems to be a way around the parking pass issue (even though it is $75 to park) but I'm just not sure where they will stick us. I was considering telling him to park it in the lot late the night before, but I'm not sure if that would be allowed. If anyone has any experience with this please let me know. Cheesesteaks with peppers and onions is on the menu. I'll be in a Vinny T jersey...I can't bring myself to wear #10 this week. GO JETS!
If you decide to take a walk around the parking lot, feel free to stop by our tailgate. We set up in the medium between parking lot 12 and 16 outside of gate c. We'll make you feel at home; just look for the Lion Rampant flag flying overhead with our Jet and American flags....
I am getting their an hour later then normal with a six pack and a hero. I am not putting my normal effort or getting their at 08:45. I can barely take going to the game, let alone 4 hrs. in the lot. Its over fellas, the place is going to be dead, 25k empty seats and boring. I guess after 28 years, I can not fool myself. Its friggin 10/9 and we are playing for nothing, only replacing CP would excite me.
Yeah, those were the good old days. Hell, the stadium 10 years ago with a 4-10 record was more exciting then a September game now a days. Yeah, 5k for the right to buy tickets to this crap. Well, at least the fan base will get over turned. Maybe its needed. Who knows, all I can say is with the crappy team, crappy parking and crappy fans, I can not believe I have tickets to 6 more home games. 6 more and I wish the season was over now. OOYY!!
my boy sold his tix this year. still retains the rights and all that shit but he is thrilled he dumped them this year......thank god I have the dish and have the chance to actually watch some nfl football on sundays
The answer's always Yes here, and I'm sure I'll be over to see what's cooking at the 17A (18C) tailgate. And you know, stand around until someone offers me a few ribs and then eat them with great reluctance.
Of course were going ,we`ve had these seasons before where the season is about the Tailgate & any Win is a bonus from here out
I went to 7 games in 96 when they were 1-15. 7! We used to run to the car to catch Kotite go.........."circle the wagons"..."work harder in practice"...etc etc. If you remember, most games were close and the Jets would invent a way to lose each week. I'll be there...I guess.
Nice post! Hell, nobody died in the crash yet! Come on guys, Joisey has hit the nail on the head, it's what a Jet is all about, lets suffer these dry seasons so we can appreciate the big one when it comes. We ain't a bad team and beating the Eagles for the first time is worth celebrating.
sound like my normal tail gate!! as i get older my effort gets less and less... but anyways, I'll be there at my normal 10 or 10:30 over is 17 somewhere... the place won't be dead, they'll just be more opposong teams fans as we moved further away from contention and I see a win this weekend..........
I will be their with 2 of my buddys in the Marine Corps, hoping for a miracle this year. In the back of my mind I'm, thinking that if we win 3 in a row going into the by week, their is hope for this season...Then I woke up
And besides every single year ,there is always 1 team we lose to that we have no buissness losing to that we do/did, Buffalo is the loss that fit in that catagory this year with a lot of starters out including their QB who made his first NFL start ever against us and won....And the Eagles who we have "NEVER BEATEN" and are getting Westbrook back this week should be that 1 team ever year that we have no buissness beating that we end up winning against.......
im thinking of beef stew in a crock pot the night before. slow cookin baby you boys dissapoint me with this bullshit crying stuff. win lose or draw you must attend the games and enjoy them. always root root for the home team
