http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/eagles/2013/03/12/nnamdi-asomugha-released/1982809/ How do we think this impacts the Revis trade market?
I don't think it will have a huge impact on the Revis situation......Aso is a very solid CB but whoever trades for Revis will be looking to add a top tier superstar to help get them over the hump. Aso is a solid piece that can help upgrade a team. Revis is a game changing talent that can help a team reach that next level. Sent from my LG-P999
How could he have fallen so far, so fast from two years ago? I suppose he was vastly over-rated as a Raider, cashed in on it, and took it easy in Philly unless there's an injury we don't know about.
I'm not sure, but I've read that it could be the Eagles' scheme. I've read that they play much more zone and leave man out, which would be Nnamdi's strength. Again, I'm not sure if its that way or the complete opposite, but I think it makes sense. To Mr he just couldn't have regressed that badly. If he'd come cheap I wouldn't mind, especially if we get rid of Revis.
Namdi is visiting the 49ers per twitter. If the niners add him, they will be 100% favorites for the whole thing. You talking about a possible GREAT GREAT defense. I am sure they will also make a run at Charles Woodson, not to mention all the picks they have that they could trade around with.
He was absolutely not overrated with the Raiders, he was unbelievable there. The Eagles had an awful defense which played against his strengths and had no pass rush at all, mostly though they did stupid things like play him in zone, or blitz him off the edge. It would be like if the Packers had Clay Matthews play man cover on the slot receiver every down.
He's 32 years old before training camp starts. That's an age where if you're not great you get paid a flat salary if you get paid at all. When you're 28 and coming off a run of greatness teams will pay you as if that run will continue. When it's 3 years later and the run didn't continue? Well at that point you're just an old player looking for one last payday before you retire and that market gets set by the buyers, not the sellers.
