Since today is Election Day, I figured I?d throw a poll up for your consideration. I was wondering how important the presidential election is in comparison with the Jets? season. So, my question to you is if you could only have one of the following, which would you choose: 1) Your presidential candidate wins, but the Jets miss the playoffs 2) The Jets go the playoffs, but your presidential candidate loses
as much as I love the Jets, I think our country is in pretty dire straits at the moment, and we need somebody who is going to help move this country forward so I believe its more important to see Obama win the election. Granted there is no reason they both can't happen! But anybody voting playoffs over election candidate, is either to young to give a crap about the direction of our country, or just plain stupid. We are in a time of economic disaster, and we need somebody to come in and right the ship, whoever you belive that to be, so voting for the playoffs is moronic, at least in my eyes
I didn't explain my vote, when I posted the poll, but I voted for President over Jets, because I think the presidency is more important to this country than ever. Also, in the past, when the Jets have missed the playoffs, I usually get over it in 72 hours and then start to get hopeful about next season. The sting of a presidential loss lingers for a long time, often the length of the term of office. DbJ
Sorry, but I'd rather not see: 1. Huge increases in taxes 2. Socialized medicine 3. Illegal immigration 4. Same-sex marriage (What's next, polygamy?) 5. Gun control 6. Abolition of the death penalty 7. Government run economy 8. Foreign policy dicated by other nations or the UN 9. Less homeland security 10. Jobs given based on skin color as opposed to talent So for these reasons the election is much more important.
Man a people say Obama people drink the kool-aid. Half the things you mentioned are state issues. A huge increase in taxes? You must be doing OK for yourself, not like a lot of us in this Economy.

The Jets are too!, But thank God there is someone else that sees the Fraud in Obama. Oh wait I wont be able to thank "God" after January. Obama will eliminate belief in him.
Yes, some are state issues. But there are probably three supreme court justices that may need to be replaced in the near future. Put three liberals in there and see what happnes to this country. Plus if Obama wins he can carry others with him in both federal and state elections
