If we keep winning, and with only 2 Primtime games scheduled, we could possibly get 2 Sunday night NBC games at home against Atlanta and the Bengals. How great would that be, playing the Bengals on a cold January night to end the NFL season and decide the 1st and 2nd seed. I hate Sunday night home games but the if its the last game of the NFL season and its for something big, that would be awesome. I love dark and really cold games, lets hope it snows... no, lets hope we are good first. Shit, knowing both these teams, we could be playing for .500.... ouch

That would suck. I hate night games period but night games in the cold of december are terrible for fans that attend the games. I want them b/c it means we are good enough to get them but I wish we could find a way to be winners and not play Night games in Decmber and Jan.

    NEWS FLASH!!!!!!!!
if we don't beat teams like Buffalo and Oakland and Miami these next 3 weeks, we won't have to worry about seeds as the only way the Jets will attend playoff games is if they purchase tickets!!!
One week at a time!!! Didn't you guys learn anything about the Jets last year or last week for that matter? I mean this is NY JETS101

There absolutely is a Sunday night game in Week 17 each year.

Yeah, you are right Cakes. I remember wondering if Phins-Jets would be FLEXED last year for 2 weeks, then it ended up being Chargers-Broncos cause we lost to Seattle. Good call. I guess I was thinking Monday.

Along with Falcons at Jets, Bengals at Chargers, Packers at Steelers, and 49ers at Eagles are other possiblities if NBC does not want to stick with Vikings at Panthers in Week 15.

As for Week 16, if NBC doesn't want Cowboys at Redskins they could take Seahawks at Packers, Broncos at Eagles, Ravens at Steelers, or Jets at Colts. But there is also that rule where CBS and/or FOX can hold back a game. CBS would not let go of that Jets-Colts game if they had the choice.

    NEWS FLASH!!!

We're fans, it doesn't matter if we look ahead. What we think or discuss has zero impact on what the team will do.

Eagles-Bears, Ravens-Steelers, Eagles-Giants, will all probably hold. The others are iffy. Also, did the schedule come out after the Cutler trade? I mean, it had to right? The Bears have so many primetime appearances and did nothing in 2008.

He was traded on April 3. The schedule came out later in April. Also, the Bears did go 9-7 last year. It wasn't as if they sucked. But it's also simply that they are the Bears- a big market team and one of the flagship teams in the league. If they are even half decent one year they'll get some primetime action the following season.

I'm not sure if it will be deciding the 1st and 2nd seed because the colts will probably have the 1st seed locked up. However, I think the Colts game may get flexed (which I'm surprised you didn't mention) because the national media loves the Peyton Manning and if we are both good it is an intriguing matchup (top offense against potentially top defense). I hate night games/4 pm games though. Let me watch my football at 1

As for Week 17, these appear to be the best possibilities right now-
    Saints at Panthers
    Eagles at Cowboys
    Patriots at Texans
    Steelers at Dolphins
    Giants at Vikings
    Bengals at Jets
    Packers at Cardinals

The other nine games look pretty bad.

Giants-Vikings could decide the #1 seed. Of course we have only finished 5 weeks of action, but the Bengals-Jets looks like the second best game right now.
