Geno has a stronger arm than Fitz.. Should CS implement a package that A gets him in the game for added experience and B utilizes his arm strength to go deep? Seems like Devin Smith will never flourish with Fitz not being able to benefit from his strength.
There's a huge problem if a team can't run a Hail Mary because their starting QB can't throw the ball even moderately deep. I have no issue with tipping our hand and putting Geno in for a final Hail Mary.
So pretty much give away what he's in for when he enters the game? Id rather see the Wildcat again. Bottom line is if we get QB play like we got today we will win a lot of games this year.
You're right. Let's just take a knee to prevent any injuries since if we can't do a Hail Mary, there's no point in running a play.
So the better option is to bring a cold QB , who sucks , into the game to throw a hail mary? Yeah that wouldnt be too much of a bad idea.
My favorite Geno package is the one where we put him in a wooden box nail off all four corners and put him on a plane to Switzerland
What's the worst that happens? Incomplete or it's picked off and we lose? How is that any different from throwing a five yard pass in the middle of the field with 10 seconds left?
This is the "package" where he runs backwards and loses 15 yards on sacks. Also includes behind the back fumbles and pick 6's for everyone.
Doesn't matter if the QB is ice cold it's not like he needs to hit a moving target.. he only has to lob the ball up in the air, what happens after that is all luck and on the WR's. Even the Broncos have put in a "cold QB' in place of Peyton Manning for a hail-mary and no it wasn't this year. The idea of putting Geno, Petty, or anyone that can throw the ball further than 40 yards for a hail-mary is not a dumb idea whatsoever. The idea of having a "package" throughout the game, however, is the dumbest idea ever.
