H'mm I think you are forgetting about the season tix holders from the 60s (like myself 43 years now) who have tons & tons of years in & will not be displaced since someone in the "rape' area which you call it but with far less time in then me decides to opt out of those seats but still be a NYJ season tix holder. Somehow to me your trickle down theory approach does not ring true as it will be far to complicated for the NYJs tix office to accomplish. JMHO
for a 415pm game? wish i could. the wife is hanging on my leg as it is to stay home as long as possible.4 kids at home makes anybody crazy.
With 28 years and seats in the GA area, I consider myself out of harms way, but yes, not everyone in the upper deck should feel that way. I agree with someones assesment that change could be good considering how our current crowd gets there so late, leaves early and sometimes does not come. Hell, remember the Colt playoff game where a lot of season tic holders did not mail in the money. That was a great crowd. I do not agree with that we suck because we boo Chad and get drunk. Oh gosh, fans boo players that don't perform, drink beer and cheer young girls that are slutty enough to show their boobs. What's the world coming to???
i have had my seats for 8 years now but the rights where signed over to me.did the previous ownerships years of service get transferred too?
The last time I talked to the FO (in March or so) and asked what the policy was going to be as far as seating in the new stadium, the girl on the phone said we will be given "options," and that seating will be based on where you're now seated and how long you've been a season TH. I can only speculate, like everyone else is doing. But I took that conversation to mean that if I am given the option of remaining in the Mezz Sideline area (now called the "Club" area") and paying the PSL, consideration will be given to the length of time I've had the tickets. I'm hoping that longevity consideration will also be afforded should I opt OUT of paying the PSL and choose to move elsewhere. But yeah, some of you are right about "only the Jets" can and will know the answer to that. Truth be known, none of us knows for sure what the Jets ticket office will do with the rest of the seats. One thing is for sure... I think there will be a lot of pissed off people. Very few of us are going to look at being moved as a positive thing unless the seats you're moved to are obvously an upgrade.
Do you really think whomever you spoke to is clued in to what Woody's grand plan is? It sounds to me like that employee was just giving you lip service until the final annoucement is made
I'm not going to disagree with you. They are probably so far away from formulating a seating plan strategy that anyone on the phones is programmed to just respond in that general way. They have all kinds of time in which to figure out (hopefully) some semblance of fairness to seat assignments. Still, I can picture most ticketholders being unhappy, so hopefully they will try to make it as smooth as possible. The other option, of course, is to just bite the f@cking bullet and pay the PSL, which I've commented on many times before. It is basically "dead money." Dead as hell, in fact. So dead that I'm not even sure that someone will be able to turn around and break even should they decide to sell their PSL a year or two later... it could, in fact, be worth less than what you paid for it, something some of us have not even considered. It'll be interesting... that's for sure.
How would you like to be working there and fielding those phone calls every day? Oh yeah, and getting ready to move the whole office, too. Good times.
I would say a bit crazy which is exactly what I meant. I am sure that 227 was just fed a whole bunch of misinformation hoping that would be one less phone call further down the line
The phones will really be lighting up about a year from now when the stadium starts approaching completion. It's gonna get pretty wild.
I'm not sure I'd assume the Jets FO is intentionally feeding ticketholders "a whole bunch of misinformation." Putting out misinformation would only add to the clusterf@ck that is sure to come. I think they're probably giving out as little as they can, but there's a difference between doing that and intentionally giving out misinformation.
I am not 100% sure , but I believe it is the account number that matters. If your account number did not change then it would count. My Uncle has the Tickets from 1969-1994. They were signed over to me in 1995. The account number remained the same.
I doubt Woody cares 1 iota how big a cluster f**k he creates over this that is where I think you derail. If you go back thru your posts it is hard to believe that you own a company that employs over 20 people & is profitable since I am sure you would know you would not operate your company the way you want Woody to run the NYJs.
I've got some other things going on today Champ, and you seem to be begging for an argument this morning. So, I'm sorry, you'll have to find someone else this morning. I'll just agree with everything you say about this and be done with it for now. Makes perfect sense to me.
