Just heard from a fellow Giant season tic holder who just got his 2008 invoice who has seats downstairs that the PSL is 5k each but even worse its not for lifetime, he is trying to verify if its for 5 or 10 years. Here we go. We are next. DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is probably why the Jets have kept telling me "you'll get your waiting list information in a couple of weeks" whenever I email them asking when they're going to send out that $50 waitlist fee. I knew something must be up for them to keep delaying that.
Well they just won a super bowl at least. This is how they are gonna ruin the game. Fake fans like big business's will buy them up leaving the blue collar guy on his couch.
If we get hit with something similar then that is the end of my season tickets as I know them. They've been in the family since '73. BTW, are there any links to this anywhere online? I tried to search a couple of Giants forums for this but nobody seems to have mentioned it.
I think that guarantees that the Jets will do the same. They were probably just waiting for the Giants to do it.
I've had my seats in the Mezzanine since 1985. The prices are already out of contol. So now, quite frankly, I don't know what I'm going to do. I'm sure the Mezz PSL's will be more than the regular seat charge and then, on top of that, I'll have to anty up even more for the "priviledge" of buying my seats annually.
This is not true. The new stadium will not be ready until 2009, the earliest. They would not charge PSLs for tickets in the old stadium.
sorry for the dumb question, but what is the psl? does this mean you have to pay on top of the ticket prices?
But they also give you first right of refusal for your seats during ANY event in the arena. How the hell are they going to sell PSL's to both teams' fans? Who gets first right to quality entertainment like American Idol Live and Hanson: The Reunion Tour?
It will be the end of my tics also which I have had since 1981. I could not find it anywhere, just going by someome who received their invoice.
That's a good point. Not sure if it starts this year or next. It did not even cross my mind. I figured it was next year. Either way it sucks, either way I am done when its time
It would be the right time for the giants to issue a psl on there fans. The problem for the jets is now is a bad time. If the giants issue one it will force the jets to do the same.
Not all psl's give you rights and you can bet this one wont. Maybe we get early sales of those tickets
Season tix have been in my family since '75, and our fear is that PSL's will make us give up the tickets, as well.... But I got to say.....if this is true....The Giants charging $5K for first level is a bargain? Our tickets are in the upper level behind the endzone, and if they are getting $5K for anywhere in the first level then my tickets should be around $2K-$3K each....We MIGHT be able to keep all 4 tickets if that is the case...(Reminder to self...Send flowers DAILY to the wife) And I know it was posted somehwere else, but just to confirm Jerry Jones has sent out a letter to season ticket holders about the Cowboy PSL's. My cousin (her husband) has season tickets lower level behind the goal posts (31years season tix holder) and he has been quoted at $30K per ticket. (5 tickets..$150K)hmy:hmy:hmy:
I'm not seeing anything in this morning's Star-Ledger about Giants PSL's. You'd think if they were being mailed out to the public, the paper would be on top of it. I'm hoping it's just a rumor or some misunderstanding on the part of sec314's friend.
I recall reading not to long ago, it might have been a link posted in another thread, that Jones is charging......now make sure your sitting or holding on to something.........$150K PER TICKET for lower level between the 30's..... I'm positive I read that I will search for the link...
